like it says in the title. I would have thought it was because they were erased from time however the pandorica light re-created them. also in Flesh and Stone the doctor mentions that nobody remembers the giant Cyberman (from the next doctor)

Cracks were everywhere in time and space. Guess they fell into a crack and were erased from history

Of course you then have to ask what happened to all the people who were killed by the Daleks - and which universe now exists following Big Bang V2.0 - the one from S1 to S4 new style or the universe in S5

How did Amy not remember a lot of things, like the daleks and what happened to her mim and dad.

I'd like to say go back and watch the episode again, then tell us why.

No time. The Doctor stated the cracks in time were gradually taking away pieces of her life, which included her initial knowledge of the Daleks, her parents, and Rory when he was claimed by a crack after being shot by the Silurian.

She didn't remember the Daleks for the same reason she didn't remember her parents-the timeline was being gradually erased so they'd never existed. The Dalek in the museum was saved because it was caught in the light from the Pandorica.

If you don't mind waiting a few hours for the answer, I was just going to pop back in time and shoot my grandfather.

Not the same really - they have (according to other answers on here) been wiped from time by disappearing into the crack in time.

Amy didn't go back in time and shoot them.

Duplicate post - boards caught in temporal loop.

No idea, maybe she still existed as she remembered she had parents, just not who they were.

Time was being gradually erased so normal causality was suspended.

Same with everything in the crack.

The Weeping Angels in Flesh and Stone/Time of the Angels never existed yet River was still freed, sent after the Byzantium, and then freed after for her work.

Rory never existed yet the ring still existed.

The ducks in Leadworth never existed but the pond did.

Her parents never existed yet she still did.

The cracks erase you from existance, and from memories, but not from the effects of what they did. Hence the ring, the photo of Rory, Amy, River Song despite post 2010 Earth not existing etc etc.

As they said, Amy was the girl who didn't make sense, having no parents but still existing etc. Yet deep down she still remembered parts of them, such as the fact that her mum used to put the faces in the apples. Erasing from time because of the cracks isn't the same as if you'd been killed as a baby. Its like removing someone from a photo with Photoshop. The person isn't there, and someone in the photo may not know who has been removed, but there are still signs. An arm that was raised to go around their shoulder, still there but around no-one. A gap between people standing in a group etc. The person was never there but their affects remain.
