At the moment i use the default windows media player. Can anyone recommend any decent downloadable MP3 player software that gives you loads of options and where you can adjust the sound quality etc etc..

Thanks

It has to be winamp (www.winamp.com) because of the sheer number of plugins available.

I have to say it's very impressive for free software. It's gave my speakers more power aswell.

I had 11 MP3's on my playlist. I re-named 7 of them lastnight. Now it won't play or even recognize them as MP3's, i try adding them through the 'add dir' option but it won't add them. Is there anyway i can put them back on my playlist?

P.S. They play in windows

dunno? try removing all track from the playlist then adding them again click on - then ALL (no doubt u have already tried this though?)

If u click on - them misc u can remove dead files as well which might be handy.

A good mp3 program to use is MusicMatch. You can even record album tracks and turn them into Mp3s. I've had no problems except to turn off the CDDB in the options because it seems to hand in Windows ME, but works ok on Win 98

Thanks dannyb. I tried everything you suggested plus every other possible solution but they wouldn't play(after they was re-named)so i deleted them and downloaded them again.
