I think it's brilliant. It leaves things open and hasn't given complete closure so there will still be theories and ideas running around until the christmas special, where some things might be answered but more questions asked, leaving us to have more theories and ideas until series 6!

I'm glad to see Doctor Who finally taking the same approach that's made other long running shows must-see viewing. Always give the audience just enough information to keep them hooked, but not enough that they won't be waiting impatiently for the next series because they think they already know it all!

It doesn't seem to be working. It has become a shadow of it's former self and is very lacklustre. A damp squib.

Speak for yourself, it's working for me. Best series since 1989.

Obviously a matter of opinion. I've loved this series.. but... hopefully it can go from strength to strength next year. Now that the new team are settled...

Completely agree, I have absolutely loved this series, further from a damp squib it could not be. A brilliant Doctor - the best for a very very long time - great companions (I'm including Rory in that now) and intelligent well written stories. Wonderful.

It's brave of Moffat to have a 2 series story arc and personally I welcome it, though there are bound to be those who want instant gratification all the time who will moan and complain

I'd agree with that, but do feel I should point out that several of the new team have actually now left.

Patience is its own reward.

I agree with all the positive comments on this thread. Obviously, I was expecting an explanation about why the TARDIS exploded, but am now glad we didn't as it is still to come.
I also liked Rivers parting words, saying something along the lines he would find out very soon who she was, and how everything will change.
