Our Foxsat-HDR took 30 seconds.
Be careful through. Our Sky comes in much the same time it takes to change a channel - but I think its only pretending to be shut down due to the amount of power it uses in this supposed state

If your Foxsat takes 4 hours to boot you should get it repaired.

Rather than Humax getting a grip, perhaps you should!!

If a box actually takes 4 hours to boot, then any sensible person would get it sorted!!

I suspect that instead your comment was a very poor attempt at sarcasm!!

Sby on a Sky box is a joke, everything but the video/audio output stages is powered. It's in the same state as a hdr in the pre 15 min recording stage which also boots instantly when in this state.

Try turning the power off to a SKY HD box and then count the time for it to boot (or show signs of life).

And try doing it to a non PVR sky box.. 44 secs. Humax PVR in power saving s/by 25 secs.

I have one on my Tosh Regza TV and it works great, even on only one feed.

Picture and sound generally are slightly superior to the Sky HD box.

Do you still use the TV's Freeview feed? If so, how do the images compare between freeview and freesat?
