Well, the series is over, but Prisoner Zero was nowhere to be seen and it seemed he was forgotten about in the finale!

I am assuming that he is the one that continues to be out there that the Doctor referred to???

The Atraxi got him in episode 1.

Not sure I entirely agree. Prisoner Zero knew about "silence will fall", and I'm not sure - correct me if I'm wrong - any other character/monster did. So I kinda figured maybe he's an unresolved element to Series 5 and will pop up again in the Series 6 story arc.

And the doctor's original sonic screwdriver which got melted...

Prisoner Zero woud have known because it travelled through the crack, just as the Saturnynians knew because they too travelled through the crack.

Prisoner Zero was neutralised in the first episode.


The sonic wasn't melted, it was sitting in a pile of goo. He got a new one when the TARDIS rebooted.

Helen McCory's fish-alien posing as a Vampire knew about the silence also... cracks appeared, though some we saw other worlds, though others only silence... and that episode ended in silence - the Doctor and Rory commented on it.

At the end of Confidential on BBC3 the Moff mentioned that we find
out a lot more about both River and Prisoner Zero in the next series.
The "Silence will Fall" storyline continues...
