There is a slot - its at the back of the unit. I was at Humax UK headquarters today as well, and must say the interface is looking slick and fast. If the last HD PVR that Humax made (for freesat) is anything to go by, i.e. same levels of reliability, excellent accurate recording and series link performance, I can see it being popular.

According to some websites I read, Project Canvas
will be a Premium Product
and cannot be downloaded to previous boxes,
so we will need a new box for Project Canvas now

I will now have to buy a box for Project Canvas,
enven though I have a Humax HD Fox-T2 Box

I have two HD Ready TVs
and only one of them has the Humax box,
so I will be putting the Humax upstairs in the bedroom
and the Project Canvas box can go in the Lounge

I hope you're right. Reliability is a concern for me as a potential buyer of this product as my current box is extremely reliable albeit not HD ready and now missing EPG data. I know Humax are a good make but their (Freeview) boxes haven't been particularly reliable of late from what I've read, so it's encouraging to hear that more recent Freesat models have addressed some of those issues. Failed recordings are basically an alien concept to me at the moment. The only time that would happen with my Digifusion is if there was no signal for whatever reason.

As for Canvas - it's a shame this box won't support it - but I guess nothing will for a long time yet. It's certainly not the be-all and end-all for me. I just want a good solid reliable Freeview HD compatible PVR with the option for ESPN. This box seems to fit the bill perfectly for that. The internet stuff is a nice bonus as well.

Most of those problems were down to the digital switch over and were unforeseeable by Humax. I’ve had my 9200T for a good while now (replaced a digifusion) and although I had massive problems they rectified it with a great software update and I have no doubts about purchasing the Fox HDR-T2. It can’t be worse that the Phillips
