Excellent rating for WDYTYA - Brucey was a big draw as expected and that episode will certainly become the programme's most watched ever once timeshift is factored in. It's pretty amazing that a factual programme can get almost 7m viewers considering most don't even get 4m!

Rev's not turned into the success we thought it could have been after the first rating came out, which is a shame as I've been enjoying it. Decent for Identity to bounce back a little from last week which I suppose is more than what MSO and Luther could do for their third episodes. If the ratings rise a bit more and stablilise at 4.5m, I hope ITV recommission it because by their standards it would be a good audience for a new summer drama. Their recent summer efforts (Monday Monday and Harley St) both fell under 3m and this being an ITV Studios production must have its additional benefits.

Pretty good for Hollyoaks - ratings have generally rose in the last few weeks so it looks like its worst patch is out of the way. Solid ratings for Five yesterday, especially the 9pm movie. Still no word on what new US dramas Five (and other channels) will be picking up?

Stunning ratings for WDYTYA? last night. It's certainly still capable of great, so long as the subject is right and the timeslot a good one.

In fact, many ratings were very high for a July evening. The soaps did very well across the board, I'd say. And it'll be comforting for ITV to see Identity pegging back its first week fall somewhat. It needs to hold that steady at least over the next few weeks, building back towards 5m, if possible.

I expect BB to be down with the 9.30pm start. In a way 10.30pm is kind of a better slot because you have the turnover factor after the News at Ten - but considering the strong competition either people were willing to wait around half an hour to watch BB or were aware to tape it and watch it at 10pm.

Does tape checked mean checking when a show started and finished and cutting off the ratings from before/after it actually started ?

Interesting. Even though many don't like her I'm glad Kate is staying, and John for that matter. Ben and Andrew had already jumped ship, for the fear of being axed and isn't Emma being given a role in ITV's lunchtime news? Glad ITV have found a use for the redundant presenters. Ben & Andrew also host other ITV shows and Kate will be back in primetime for The Biggest Loser. No loss really that Carla/Richard have effectively be axed. They needed to get rid of them really to completely get away from the damaged GMTV brand.

Regarding last night, amazing for WDYTYA- like rzt said 7m for a factual programme in this day and age is astonishing. Panorama also seemed to get a nice boost aswell which gave BBC1 an excellent evening.

Pretty lacklustre for BBC2. The predictable rating for the Newsnight special harmed Rev. Silly scheduling imo, considering it's the 10pm slot that needs propping up the most. People finally seem to be tiring of Antiques shows aswell. Uni Challenge seems down somewhat aswell.

Strong for the ITV soaps, as per usual. Identity increased as I thought and hopefully it won't drop again. It's certainly ITV's best new Summer drama offering in at least 2/3 years. Also pleasing to see new drama in 3 9pm slots on ITV1 and repeated drama in 2 other slots aswell.

BB did well considering it started half way through everything else, after a programme with a completely different audience. I don't really understand why the WW1 doc was at 8pm, because it obviously wasn't scheduled there in the first place, as Dispatches was moved to Sunday. Why couldn't this have aired at 7.30pm on Sunday??

I see ITV has got rid of the GMTV name completely, the company now called ITV Breakfast Limited.

They could even just put The Hollyoaks Music Show into the Friday slot. I doubt the problem would transfer to Thursdays, I think the problem is just that its drawn out across the week.

Good for the soaps last night with alot of bad weather about(mainly up north) so they are good ratings for July.

The Big 2 soaps close again and Who do you think you are? and Identity higher then i thought they would be which is allways nice to see.

On to Tonight i think the BBC would have had a good night with Hour EastEnders,Followed by Holby then Outnumbered.

I expect the BIll to be dented alot by holby tonight

Last minute Big Brother live show tomorrow, 10PM show extended to 11:40PM on my EPG. C4 PR aren't giving anyway anything though, so can't see it doing that well with such late notice

The simple fact that it's on until 11.40pm on a weeknight surely won't help either and 100 minutes is quite a stetch as well.

Perhaps they'll reveal what it is in the tabloids tomorrow?
