That'll be over 9 million, right?

the number will be intersting, (when we get it) 9 milllion would be good

I hope i don't come across rude (which usually means i will lol) but Paul, why don't you just post the numbers instead of writing teasers.

Paul has to have the time to compile the ratings report he does first - I think Paul does a great job and like the teasers he does to keep us in suspense.

just got this from Media Guardian

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010...nal-tv-ratings

article date: Tuesday 4 May 2010

8pm: EastEnders - 9.309 million/37.3%

It's not the teasers I mind it's the fact the ratings follow ages after them.

No, because that was Monday 3 May's ratings.

if it is around 9 million, then the extra 800,000 on BBC3 is really impressive, would take it to near 10 milllion.

There was a bit of a backlog in the subs queue yesterday, I am sorry.

Soaps will always be up between 10am-11am every morning, main ratings will follow around lunchtime...

I will try to post Friday's and Saturday's on Sunday morning, so we don't have to deal with the Monday wait. There's not much happening on Friday's at the moment, so I don't see the point of updating quickly really.

I wonder why EE did so well. It was a pivotal episode for one of their biggest characters, and an hour long, but they didn't really make a fanfare out of it promotion wise. Weaker competition?

I'm interested now to see how Holby did too.

Holby viewers tuning in at 8pm?

true enough, it was not promoted in any fashion, and I think it might have taken a few by surprise that it was 1 hour long

I didn't expect EE to have its best rating in months, it was a rather big episode, but IMO, a few episodes back in the last month I expected to do well.

But well done for EE for getting the highest rating since May!

Thanks PJ.

I don't suppose you know what Holby got and could tease us whether it was higher or lower than normal?

Thanks.

Brilliant rating. Interesting use of words though, did it have 9.6m viewers tuning into at least 3 minutes, or is that the peak? (just that I haven't seen a reach quoted in any ratings article).

all that talk of 9 million 8.8 almost seems dissapointing.

Still its an impressive figure, for a soap that has become a run away sucess this year, starting to leave even the mighty Corrie in its wake.

the additional 800,000 is impressive as well, when both BBC 1 & BBC 3 are up, you know its doing well

I assume those figures are average not peak.

Isn't the 9.6 from including the BBC3 figure?
