Thats great for Katie and Alex!! As much as people can hate Katie, she is very valuable to ITV2.

ITV2 are going to miss Katie Price. It will be very interesting to see how many viewers transfer to Living, but Sky should consider moving her show to Sky1 for it to be more mainstream and when Sky1 goes in this pay package on DTT, then more people will subscribe.

Luckily ITV2 have got their Dannii Minogue series which should get at least 0.8m and Jedward, which will probably only last one series but will still get 0.5m-0.6m which isn't to be sniffed at I guess.

I didn't realise that Price was moving to Living/Bravo, I think that they'll make a lot out of her. I bet ITV are crying because as you say, even if they all hate her they know she makes them millions.

From memory it was getting around 500-600,000. I'd certainly be tempted to give Fern the 5pm slot - but C4 need to offer her her own show, not Paul O'Gradys.

Theres no harm in just going for the full on granny/housewife audience, which C4 have for Countdown & Deal or No Deal anyway, so all they really need to do is replicate This Morning/Richard & Judy/Lorraine Kelly etc and she'll be fine.

I think its best they ditch the change of presenters and keep Fern on there, she is the biggest ratings puller so far. And has more than doubled since she's been there.

Yeah but I don't think she would be willing to commit to roughly a half of the year show like O'Grady did.

It wouldn't need to be that though, 2 series per year, 6-8 weeks each, working just all day Monday & Tuesday plus Wednesday afternoon, thats not a big commitment. She doesn't have that much work now anyway.

CDWM is back next week at 5 on 4, did 4 cut down the length of the 5 Show? Doesn't seem to have gone on aslong as POG did.

I thought so. I agree-I think Fern could make a 'Richard and Judy' type show work well in the slot; it's clear she's well suited to the interviews, rather than the silly games at the end of the show. I hope C4 do take a gamble and offer her her own chat show in this 5pm slot-tbh I didn't think anyone could really turn it around after its disastrous beginnings. The ratings increase could also have something to do with the fact that 'The Chase' are now repeats on ITV1 so probably generating less interest than the new episodes which were on up until last week.

I also thought that a "Andre and Fern" show would do really well in the slot and if they limited it to 16 weeks per year as Dessert Rat suggested then I'm sure they could do that.

Yeah that could work-obviously the chemistry between the two would have to be tested. I think the 16week format would work well-when C4 have a hit they tend to put it on to absolute overkill (I read that Come Dine With Me was on 30times last week on Channel 4!!!!); other examples include Deal Or No Deal, Countdown etc. All these would be much more enjoyable if they were only on for series or perhaps one day per week.

Two to three eight week series a year would be fine, which gives C4 plenty of time to have the likes of Come Dine with Me, Coach Trip and Perfect Recall (assuming it's been recommissioned) in the slot when Fern isn't on air.

pej ( Phil Edgar Jones) exec. Director for Big Brother has quit Endemol and has stated to us over on the BB forum that Celebrity Big Brother won't be back in January.

So that's it then, this is the end of BB as we know it on Channel 4.

Perhaps, it may have a better chance than the other time (it got 2.44m when the last 3 HMs entered, people blame the news coverage which may be true, or not), BUT we have had a good week in terms of ratings this week AND last time the internet leaked the 3 going in (and people werent happy with teh choices and didn't watch) ALSO last time was scheduled from 10:35pm-11:20pm, if this week is sceheduled as normal it has a better chance of nearing 3m even without the eviction.

What do people think that Undercover Boss will get tonight? Last week didnt get 3.7m or something which is hufe for a C4 show, was that just a fluke, will it drop or stay the same? I'm thinking 3m.

No one suggested it would be back in January - Channel 4's contract ends this year, so there would be no CBB next year. (unless Endemol did have a deal with another broadcaster from next year onwards but was under strict embargo, but have since had the contract pulled from under the rug)

No Jonathan Ross either, which should help.

Indeed the various disasters this week have led to a much more interesting show than we were expecting otherwise - it was going to be a pretty routine eviction this week really.

I've def read on the forum that celeb BB would be on in January. I can't remember where or when but I had it in my head that we still had celeb Bb to look forward to in January ( maybe it was wishful thinking in my tiny mind ). I know some others thought the same.

Exactly, last weeks eviction shocked me getting 2.8m and then 2.6m against Jonathan Ross's last whow which peaked at 5.2m, and can't say that Ife was a interesting enough character to recieve the highest eviction rating of the series, TBH with new HMs and no Jonathan Ross we should be having 3m+. But you never know.

Agree, Caoimhe's leaving messed up the dynamics again and thanks to that we have had 2 consecutive 2.7m ratings, however i think tonight will drop.
