Waterloo road isn't on and EastEnders is on tommorow at 7:30pm anyway so they would have to extend it as an hour and then show Thursdays episode on Friday

I think I'd favour just having one BBC entry and one ITV entry. If we have a Top 50 of 2010, we might otherwise end up with 10 or so World Cup entries in the list.

This is just another example of how complicated it is to put an annual chart together these days, with the added complications of HD, +1 etc.

The way the match is going, the Murray match should be over long before EE begins. The Tennis currently scheduled till 7pm according to my Freeview EPG.”

Hope so.
On my Virgin media EPG we now have Tennis till 8:00pm and then EastEnders

Murray's winning so it'll over well before 8pm but unfortunately he will face Nadal which should be a good match but Nadal's done quite well so far.

Well, that was a pointless channel move!

Seems like the rounding takes it to 6.29m according to rzt - and yes, you're right about the overnight, meaning it didn't timeshift...

Strange - I would have thought it would have timeshifted even a slight bit.

Scrap my comment about Murray denting tonight's Corrie, he isn't even going to dent tonight's ITV National Weather!

It'll still do well but it wasn't even close, I imagine the BBC are glad that they didn't opt for a World Cup match as a Nadal/Murray match will rate well.

I presume this was shortened/cut, as when I turned over a Coast repeat was on.

Sue Barker's in demand tonight - A Question of Sport repeat and Wimbledon!

Sue Barker has an easy gig though, all she does for most of the day is sit out of vision introducing coverage moving from BBC1 to BBC2 and vica versa. It's always word for word identical as well!

It's best when a match finishes exactly at the same time as another channel is starting their coverage, meaning Sue can't be in two places at once!

Well that was totally pointless from the BBC

It's a new A Question of Sport tonight: 31/36, apparently.

How annoying when you look at the BBC One schedule on the BBC homepage, click "Full schedule", get taken to the BBC TV guide, click "Full schedule" at the bottom of the BBC One column and it takes you to listings for 30th May!

Episode 1 - Identity vs Crimewatch (new - but should get 3.5m, same as a NT repeat)
Episode 2 - Identity vs The Silence (new - stripped drama)

And Identity's ratings as thus are heading south straight from launch. Another ITV show killed before its even started...

...or am I being over dramatic? The parallels are there, let's hope Identity captivates the viewers immediately.

Also, is Reunited a one off tonight? I've heard its new, but have seen zero trailers for it... has it been left on the shelf for the Beeb for a while? Or has it been mispromoted for whatever reason?

EDIT: According to Wikipedia - its a pilot... interesting.”

The previews of Reunited that I've seen suggest that it's cliched and not very good, hence the probable reason they're burning off the pilot in a summer slot with minimal promotion. If the BBC thought it was any good they'd have commissoned a series without this screening.

These relationship dramas like MSO / Our Mutual Friends / Reunited are the drama equivalent of Terry and June / Not In Front Of The Children / Life Of Reilly. Relentlessly middle-class and even less like real-life than an episode of Doctor Who. But dim-witted TV bosses, stuck in their ivory towers, will persist with these programmes despite the sitcoms getting a critical mauling and the dramas flopping in the ratings.

I wonder how many people know EastEnders is on tonight seeing as the BBC hasn't mentioned it at least ITV gave Corrie a few mentions(one being the other day)

Could midsummer beat EastEnders tonight?

No, although EE will probably be slightly down on what it would usually expect to get.

I've gone far too high with my 8.5m prediction. No idea what I was thinking but it will be at least a million lower.

She did a bit more on HD earlier. There was a couple of minutes between the changeover, so she came on out of vision to explain what was going on, while we had a few shots of the local views.

There was nothing sensible about it at all - it was clear before they switched the match would be over before 7pm, so moving it for 20 minutes is probably the stupidest of all the Wimbledon switches we've seen in the last decade and more.

If the game had been continuing at 7pm fair enough, even if only for half an hour - but they made a decision before 6pm and should have stuck with it rather than changing their minds a few minutes later and cutting the news short.

The 6pm news could have played out on BBC2 with the regional news following the conclusion of the game on BBC1 - they'd have been back on schedule by 7.30pm - probably 8pm at the latest had it gone to five sets (assuming it wouldn't be an Isner-Mahut affair!)

P.S. I assume this random one-off one hour drama "Reunited" on BBC1 tonight is effectively a pilot for a series. [EDIT: see that has been addressed above - it's basically shit!]

Despite HBO being available in just 32m of 115m US TV homes, it placed 3 series in the top 10 for the week among adults 18-49. True Blood was easily the #1 show among adults 18-49.

Rookie Blue is the only series on the major broadcast networks which looks like it could be classed as a success if it can hold that rating. The rest of ABC's summer series haven't done so well.

Top 10 Cable Networks - Primetime Ratings:
1. USA – 3,525,000
2. Disney – 2,704,000

8. ESPN – 1,511,000

BET is far higher than usual because of the BET Awards which averaged 7m+ on Sunday night.

I think Tommorows episode will do better given the cliffhanger but Monday should reach 8m i think given the stunt and
Spoiler
Denise could be dead

Both EastEnders and Midsommer is trending on twitter with Enders trending for Fatboy,Lucas,Denise
my prediction was 7.m and i think it will be around there somewhere

Deadliest Catch is a huge hit as well for Discovery and those ratings for WWE Raw seem particularly strong.

The football did excellently tonight, though as it was a Tuesday it didn't have much in way of competition. The Bill really is slow marching to death. Big Brother did reasonably.

Bizarre move from BBC1 regarding the tennis match tonight - I guess if it'd gone to five sets it would've been worth it but as it was it seemed pointless to cut the news just to air something that could easily be broadcast on BBC2.

I wondered about Reunited, it isn't even one of the Today's Choices in Radio Times, and considering there are now about 200 choices per day in their new layout, that is saying something.

I always find it astonishing how young Hell's Kitchen skews in the US. Only 6m viewers, but a superbly strong demo rating. I wonder if the UK series used to do the same? I presume not, or else it'd still be on air.
