Blimey 101 Ways To Leave A Game Show peaked at 4.97m with a 29.4% share...I'm sure Doctor Who has a few simular shares to this at some point.

Looks like not that many watched TV at all last night...well it was S**t!!

Has Saturday night become flog a format to death becasue we have no other ideas..night!

Incredible, not only increased its audience as time went by, increased its share as well!

I think I'll post this list in the episode thread, that should set some feathers ruffling!

After YBF ended, maybe the build up to the football was low?

Probably, but the posters in the programme thread were anticipating a mass exodus of viewers as the programme went on. I don't think anyone anticipated that the audience would grow so dramatically. It would be interesting to know how many of the viewers at 18:30 were still viewing at 19:30 though!!!!

Decent night for both BBC1 and ITV1 last night.

The match performed solidly for a match which didn't really matter and it will no doubt have performed much better than ITV's offerings up until The X Factor perform.

It never ceases to amaze me that people continue to watch BBC1 on Saturday nights whatever they air.101 ways should not have got 4m. Hopefully it will be down next week. And why do people continue to watch repeats of LATA?? It seems to be the new Vicar of Dibley. There's not even that many episodes of it, are there?

And 3.5m for a compilation show at 10.30pm at night is excellent.

However Casualty seems to be very low lately hurt by tough football competition and the scheduling. Seems to have been months since it hit 5m.

101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow had a decent start, and the breakdown's very surprising considering what people were saying about it on here. It has a really good lead-in with Toy Story 2 next week so it could hold up okay.

Casualty's rating is a bit low but it's probably more prone than other shows to being dented by the football. Live at the Apollo repeats excellently so no wonder the BBC keeps airing old episodes. The football on ITV1 rated worse than I expected - was thinking it would get 6m excluding HD (3rd place match in 2006 had 6.8m).

1.69m (8.4%) for yesterday's BB. Doesn't include +1.

Friday's ratings aren't known atm.

Looks like BB's audience figures have stabilised and it shows 2-2.5 million people are still prepared to watch it. Most likely these will be the ones who have watched it from the start, same as the remaining audience for Neighbours seem to be mostly people who've watched it since the eighties.

I think some people changed to it when the football came on, there wasn't much selection on the 5 main channels.

I think its likely we can now hit a 3.1m+ average.

The audience for BB will slightly increase in the coming weeks with the new housemates (as traditionally happens) and now the World Cup is over. BB has been doing well when it hasn't been on. A few dodgy slots like being extended to 11.15pm might drag the overnight average down, but I'm pretty sure it will get a 3m official average, if not 2.8-9m at the very least.

I also disagree that most BB watchers now have watched from the start. Its probably true in some cases, especially on the internet, but BB is a different show now to what it was in 2000. The audience changed a fair bit after BB5.

A decent night for BBC1. Nothing over 5m but no flops and everything did a solid job. 101 Ways To Lose Viewers did OK aswell. Surprised by how much it grew through the show as going by posts on here I was expecting viewers not just to switch off but throw their TV through the window.

A bit disappointing for ITV. YBF im guessing was a repeat but still thats a poor rating. The football was underwhelming. As Rzt posted, it got 6.8m on the BBC in 2006. Did viewers just not bother because it was a meaningless game and on ITV?

Also, Im interested to see how James Corden's show rated. He seems to be shedding viewers each show and I havent watched since England went out.

Agree, whenever we get Fridays ratings, it should have done well, and last nights 1.7m excluding +1 could beat the highest Sat rating of the series of 2.1m with +1, so its looking good.

Also agree with the audience bit. We have loads of new fans these last two years as well as losing old ones.... there could only be less than a million fans who are still watching BB11 that watched BB1, there could be only 1,000 maybe.

With TWC ending tonight.... we are screwed if it goes to E.T and penalties, but this week should be quite good.
I reckon we can get a 3m+ official.

101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow had a real problem with its pacing: two contestants leaving in the first 30 minutes, than five going in the next 30 minutes.

I don't think we should underestimate the attraction of a bit of contestant suffering, though. I think it will stay over 3.5m for the rest of its run.

I suppose, Salv, I was one who gave up after the third series and I know my sister gave up after BB6. I suppose some people have got bored with it, like any show, as Corrie has lost 10 milion viewers over the last 20 years.

My prediction for the WC final tonight is that ITV will be a lot closer than usual to BBC for the first half (maybe 2:1 instead of the usual 4:1). At which point, it depends on how exciting a half it has been. If it's been boring without much to discuss, then ITV will hold up quite well. If however, there's plenty to review at half time, then people will switch over to BBC to see the analysis rather than the ads and may well then stay with them for the second half.

Well, 101 was about what I was expecting in terms of raw numbers, but the share was impressive, and particularly how it built over time. I still can't really see it catching on - I'm sure it'll be down in the lower 3m's later in the run, even if it does avoid Totally Saturday territory.

Looking forward to seeing the respective numbers for the final tonight. I'm of a mind to think that the ratio will actually be quite small, by past standards. I think the ITV coverage has improved this tournament and should have a certain niche of viewers that prefer the Chiles approach. The BBC's coverage is steady and reliable, and will obviously come out on top, but I see no reason ITV wont be able to take 4-5m, which would be a reasonable result.
