Note: We may start supplying +1 ratings for all Channel 4 shows in the bracketed form that rzt has provided because we include +1 in the primetime shares, unlike HD.
Thanks for everyone's suggestions today, it has really been appreciated.”
So if we incorporate that into the main ratings:
ITV1 + ITV1 HD
19:00 - Emmerdale: 5.98m (33.2%)
19:30 - Coronation Street: 7.19m (37.1%)
20:30 - Coronation Street: 7.30m (34.3%)
21:00 - Doc Martin: 3.01m (14.2%)
** see note below
C4 + C4+1
Big Brother: 2.77m (13.2%) and 2.59m (14.6%)
I'm presuming DS's Corrie ratings are for the full slot? I'm not sure what the situation is with that for the past few weeks whether its full slot or tape checked.... regardless, it doesn't matter - the situation is even worse if it is taped checked.
(and yes, would be a great idea to supply the +1 ratings in brackets. I do think though one or two key +1 ratings deserve more than brackets - ie. if something has a larger than usual +1 rating, ie. BB, CDWM etc)
**in the article, you noted:
Quote:
“However, The Old Guys slid to 3.03m (14.4%) at 9.30pm, falling behind a repeat of Martin Clunes's Doc Martin, which averaged 2.97m (14%) for ITV1 over the whole hour.”
While we may read ratings everyday, someone else may not understand how Doc Martin beat The Old Guys despite a lower rating, it might be worth saying that Doc Martin had X.XX in the time The Old Guys was on. (I don't know how far ahead it was, but I suspect it was a few hundred thousand people). Just saying, the guy reading it to see Jonathan Ross' rating might not 'get' the above if you see where I'm coming from.
Besides, with The Old Guys, it was also on BBC HD, does that affect things - as that *might* have put it ahead of Doc Martin, it was effectively a simulcast - same applies to Ross, the HD simulcast *might* (but very unlikely) pushed him above 5m.
OK, you don't need to answer any of the above, but just things worth considering - unfortunately HD makes some ratings to report rather tedious.
Also, on a final note, do you know how the Golf did on BBC2 yesterday?
