I was wondering the same thing last night. Anybody know? Is the actor ill?

I know his last lengthy disappearance was because the actor wanted a sabbatical, but surely they're not letting him bunk off again?

Mm, I hadn't actually noticed he was missing but Lisa was making a fuss about it , seemed to mention something about south America and cash which was his exit story last time. Maybe it's just one of those 'hilarious' Dingle storylines rather than a genuine absence.

He's gone to illegally import a vine from chile so that Rodney can make wine. Not sure where he is in real life. He'll probably turn up in Footballer's wives or summink! i have a feeling he'll not be gone so long this time, unless he gets arrested and leaves for good!

well notice Drakaina didn't have any actual facts, so take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Well he HAS gone to Chile in the storyline (which is what i was being thanked for explaining), whether or not you consider that a hilarious Dingle storyline is a matter of taste i guess.

And i'm a SHE!

Of course! When Lisa found that bit out she decided it was worth the risk of him getting arrested. If i were her, i'd hope he did get arrested and then demand the money off Rodney as compensation.

I

it was funny when Rodder's said "welll....there's a slim chance of him being arrested" after she had thrown the wine in his face and broken the glass, which i think was unintentional

The Dingle comedy always seems to be trying too hard to me, both in terms of storylines and acting. Edale has some good comedy, but the Dingles aren't amongst it (for me).

Me either, i quite like Lisa as a character, but i could happily do without all the over the top blatant slapstick.

oh it's you again
Emmerdale without slapstick just wouldn't work for me. If I want to watch something boring I know what channel EE is on, and every soap needs its on identity.
Shadrak is so funny when Zac isn't around coz he's always trying to get into Lisa's knickers.
Sorry I thought you were a guy.

yes, I noticed the thing with the glass too, she looked surprised when it broke. Actually they'd probably need a stunt person to do that, health and safety regulations and all that...

i just think that you can have comedy without having to resort to no-brain slapstick, that's all, i prefer Rodney's quips and Edna's caustic one liners. But at least it has something for everyone.

Nicola can be very funny too. I prefer humour to be woven into the storylines and occur as a result of character, rather than the - as you say - no-brain slapstick of Shadrach (who I can't stand, and as he is always around more when Zac's away -- bring back Zac!). There are also just TOO MANY blasted Dingles, I think they'll only stop introducing more of them when they run out of biblical names. Oh well, still got Meshach and Abednego to come

i do like Shadrach. I know his humour is obvious, smutty and slapstick but it makes me laugh. But Edna's and Rodney's humour is also endearing. it makes a change from Katie and Robert (zzzzzzz) and a darn sight better than EE at the mo.

Edna was funny yesterday when she was talking to Viv (the sell-by-date line), for the first I actually saw her smile, as she was walking away.
I do like one liners too.

I noticed this too. I wonder if we will see a clip on "Alright on the night" or something similar of them laughing afterwards.

The glass is unlikely to have been real glass, particularly if it was intentional that it should break. Glasses on TV tend to be made of a sugar compound that breaks easily, although I still think that glass breaking was unintentional.

i'm surprised Rodney wasn't more pissed off, knowing him it would have been very expensive!

Yea it looked like one of those sugar based ones. Although it seemed that it wasn't supposed to happen, I was looking on their faces for a hint of a smile but...nothing
