I expect to pay,and have no problem with,a booking fee when buying tickets using a credit card and/or through a ticket agency, but I don't expect to have to pay one when buying tickets in person at the venue box office and paying with cash. Yet this is exactly what Fairfield Halls in Croydon are now doing! Yes,they charge you a £1 booking fee for paying in cash over the counter at the box office!

They aren't the only ones doing it. I'm sure they justify it somehow.

I'll take your word that other venues do this also,it's just this was the first time I'd come across it as virtually all my ticket purchases are done online and it's very rare that I actually manage to get to a venue box office to pay in cash.

Well I know Wolves FC do it for tickets in person as well.
