Sorry, wasn't intending to be snitty - except towards ITV who rather deserve it.

I notice that although I set Corrie recordings to my local station - ITV1 Meridian. The schedule includes recordings for ITV1 London.

If they are duplicates of recordings scheduled on Meridian usual cause is that the duplicates have been given the same series crid and a different prog crid for the same episodes. You can set up the hdr to display crids in prog info if you want to check.

So if I delete ITV1 London from the channel list will this solve the clash problem?

Last night Corrie recorded on Freesat and Freeview it's the first time it has done this in weeks, lets hope it's now sorted

Yes it will assuming the reason I gave was correct. Or set an HD recording from 119.

No problems with the recording of Corrie last night here either.

Same here, it's been a while but can we trust it to continue?

Going to watch tonight like a hawk . For a little while I thought last night that Emmerdale was not going to stop recording. It stopped seconds after the Corrie credits started to roll milliseconds before the Corrie recording started

I checked the schedual and found that the CRID info was missing, deleted and then re entered the series link and it's recorded.

Interesting it must have been their yesterday as the schudule updated. What use is a series reservation you have to renew everyday ?

Exactly, someone needs to tell ITV to stop messing about with the IDs and fix the problem instead of getting the standard fob off and them saying its not their fault.

Same here, and the schedule did not update. Luckily it was raining, so instead of having a BBQ we were sat in front of the box.

I was watching Come Dine With Me and (silly me) trusted Corrie to start so I didn't check. Well, it hasn't recorded and yet it still sits on the schedule for tonight. They really do need to get this sorted now.

Corrie failed for me again on Thursday. It worked on Wednesday so I had hoped the issues had been resolved. I've had no reply from itv yet.

Corrie part 1 yesterday failed for me and a peek at the Schedule shows that it has been deleted entirely.. Not by me..
This is happening all over the place and is likened by some to the calamitous PDC on the old system..
Did anyone ever find that that worked or was it universally distrusted like SERIES now is?

I've spoken to the right people at ITV and asked them to get to grips with the issue.

I remember getting a VCR with this facility and thinking it would be the bee's knees.

After a few attempts at using it I gave up as it had a habit of randomly terminating recordings at any point.

That, I believe, was down to the PDC data transmission facility not being sufficiently robust and allowing interference to be interpreted as genuine commands. (I'm just guessing, though.)

Quite a different kettle of fish from the current problem which is that ITV are screwing up massively and just don't seem to have, or are not deploying, any engineers of sufficient quality to sort it out.

Excluding ITV (which I don't really watch much, anyway) I would say that I've lost about six recordings over the life of the box which is well over a 99% success rate.

Thank you, any complaining we do wont get past the duty office and all we get is a standard cut and paste fob off.

I am told that they have been looking at the duty office reports, even if the responses might sometimes be standard.

I am sure you all are doing it but just to be sure can I remind you to state the exact programme you missed when contacting the duty office (including date, time and channel). It helps anyone looking to correlate information.

Corrie failed for me too last night. I have written to ITV to complain.

Thanks Bob_cat for your intervention with them.
