I'm getting a lot of instant recordings where it appears in the schedule as date:

19/01 and start time 3am approx !!

Considering we're in July its hardly surprising they don't record.

This seems to be a recent thing so I'm wondering if its the box or badly flagged recordings.
Having forgotten to set a schedule for Dragons Den when it started it's series, the first week we watched the repeat viewing later in the week and then after the programme had finished I used the search facility to locate the next best airing to set up as my series link for the show. The details are a bit sketchy as I wasn't paying much attention at the time, but I managed to search for the next HD airing and the details came up as something like a thursday night at 11:30 pm. But after confirming the selection of time /HD/series link I went into my schedule list and it came up with a date way back in the past, and not only that even though the list should have been in chronological order it appeared in the list about half way up.. very strange!

My recording of Eastenders failed last night (27/7) (I think we had a power out during the day) however when I checked the planner all future episodes were marked for record. Because of the problems we have been having on ITV I deleted the future recoding and went to reset all future episodes , and this is where a problem occurred

I tried to set Eastenders to record on a series link starting from Thursday, but an error came up telling me there was a clash. I checked through all days that Eastenders was on and nothing was recording at the same time. I then set each individual episode manually and all set fine (through to next Tuesday) so where was the clash ?

Is there anything I can do to identify where a clash is occurring as all it gave was an alternative recording such as BBC3

The Beeb has screwed up. The clash ocurs on the 3rd August 1930 episode. It has the same series crid as rest but has no prog crid so the hdr is told to record all the regional variations at the same time. If you delete all the bbc regions except your own it should work

A series recording now works OK

... 3rd August 1930 ...
Has Eastenders really been around that long?

(Made me chuckle anyway - the effect a single missed character can have )

Been on hols for 2 and a bit weeks - no missed recordings

I use a power off time of 2:55 AM and a power on time of 3:20 AM (with the power on channel set to the Freesat infor channel). I have done this on 5 or 6 occassions now and it appears to sucessfully overcome the power cut bug (of course there is always a risk of a prolonged power cut in the 25 minutes it is off).
I dont understand this, are you saying that you can set the Freesat box to turn of at a particlar time and then turn back on again, how do you do that ?

(About to go on holiday and worried about missing recordings)

Three clashes and one failed recording. Problem seems to centre around BBC Scotland showing a different episode of Secret Tourist than on London. This seems to have challenged my series link setting!

Seen this before because a different episode is flagged at the same time the hdr tries to record both. Deleting BBC Scotland from the epg should fix it.
