According to Curry's Head Office at the end of last week, no stores had any stock left of the old toppy.

As an ex-Digifusion owner I've today received a Humax 9200 from the managers specials refurbs. Looks shiny as new. Looking forward to trying it (with a little trepidation!).

Not sure what version it will be loaded with, hopefully the latest version. I'll see how that goes, but if not good, then:
I'm in pre-DSO land. What would be the best version for me?

The one thing I'm really worried about is losing the library. Can cope with losing the recording schedule, that used to happen about once every 6 months on the Digifusion, but never lost the recordings.

I got mt Toppy from PCWorld though. Maybe they still have some?

As for the firmware version to go for.... it's up for debate if you look at the threads on this matter. The latest version (23) is great as it sorts out the remote control responsiveness issue and stores the EPG on the hard disk so it populates MUCH quicker than in version 21..... BUT when there are program changes the EPG can take AGES to reflect these changes. Having got a Toppy and Hummy running side by side the Toppy had the correct description for the program I was watching and the Hummy didn't.

If 1.00.23 doesn't suit then 1.00.21 would be the next choice. We rarely suffered from the slow response that plauged people during the DSO changeover in various regions with 1.00.21. If that doesn't suit you then 1.00.15 is the next choice but that lacks significant functionality (most notably series record).
