Is this a good deal?

LG 42PJ550 42" - Save £100 by providing any old TV when we deliver your new one (NON TRADE IN PRICE £479).

It is from a well known electrical retailer similar name to the servings of an Indian restaurant. Not sure about it. Its a Plasma tv and not sure on the difference to an LCD.

Advice required,. hope you can help.

Cheers

Sounds like a good deal to me. £379 for a 42" telly? rip there arm off.

It's only hd ready which unless you want to watch blueray all the time wont matter a whole lot.

Plasma vs LCD? read the threads and takes sides.

If you play games all the time or it's going to live in bright sunlight an lcd might be better, other than that get a plasma, and at the cheap end of the market always get the plasma, the PQ will be so much better. They cost fluppence a year more to run than an lcd so don't worry about that too much either
