3G Coverage, Desire on O2
Got my new Desire am struggling to get a 3G signal on it.
Had a Nokia 5800 before and could get a 3.5G signal no problem. Internet is struggling to with G and E sometimes making an appearance very very slow, wifi flys. Checked the O2 coverage and should be getting 3G and HSDAP no problem and the handset is capable by spec to get them. Hows the Desire on Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange and Three anybody??? |

Mines great on Vodaphone, HSPDA mostly and the odd bit of 3G. Put the sim in another phone, if it's the same then it's the network, if not then its the handset that may be faulty.

mines sim free but i have a vodafone sim, no issues at all better signal than my iphone 3g.
o2 arent the best with 3g though, i was told when i bought my iphone 3g by o2 that i lived in a o2 3g area and worked in one, what a load of rubbish that turned out to be, i didnt have 3g at any point until i unlocked it and bobbed a three sim in, so it could be the phone as mine seems very stable with the signal or it could just be o2. |

My Desire (3) seems about as good as any other 3G phone I've used at this house (3G coverage is not brilliant - if I strategically place the phone in a certain spot I can get a decent signal - same for every phone I've used)

I only noticed day's ago that whilst I have a constant 3G signal I have NEVER had HSDPA since getting my HTC Desire.
My N97 used to use HSDPA all the time and I find 3G on my Desire very VERY slow most of the time I use it. I'm with O2. |

Im with 02 and have a Sony Ericsson Elm and get a HSDPA signal but in some areas of town it only gives 2 bars out of the 5 for the HSDPA signal. I have seen the signal change to an E(Edge) sign a few times when the HSDPA signal has been poor.
