You have to wait to get an email from o2 saying that the unlock has been complete.
Then put the T-Mobile SIM in, connect the phone to iTunes and the rest should be sorted. had the email from o2 saying its been complete, but didnt have the sim at the time, will try that when i get in |

When you connect to iTunes the first time you should get a popup (on iTunes) saying it's been unlocked (download any carrier settings if it asks). At least that's what mine when I did it several months ago.
