Thanks for your input, Mr. Anti anything which is iPhone related!

He's been banging on for about a year now, seriously, time to move on my friend!
I only state facts.

The iPhone's behind on everything but software.
So advanced, it took only a few years to get multitasking and copy and paste, and didn't even have 3rd party applications in its first version.

Even today, you can only run what Apple wants you to run.

There's nothing that's not on the AppStore that I need so what would I want to run that Apple won't let me the average consumer has a great phone and everything they need.

I would have loved to watch live sky sports on my Samsung e700 - but I couldn't ....dirty Samsung!!

No one apart from a select few - who just want have a bitter rant at Apple - have apps they want to run but aren't allowed to. Joe Bloggs doesn't care. Niether does the majority.

I am due to get my iPhone 4 soon and wondered if it still necessary to get a cover if the glass cover is very scratch proof?

Anyone tried it without and is still scratch free?

Mike

I used a screen protector for my 3G, mainly out of paranoia.

Didn't bother with one for my 3GS (well, I tried to apply a few, kept getting dust & bubbles, & gave up in frustration)... after a year's use, the screen was still absolutely fine.

The screen of the iPhone 4 is meant to be even tougher & more scratch resistant...
