Check that the "Recording's start time" and "Recording's end time" options (padding) in the record menu, are set to 0 minutes.

I'll ask her to check that tomorrow and get back to you...thanks for your reply.

Can she do an instant record? Can she view the list of previous recordings? Can she play previous recordings? Could be a problem with the hard drive, a corrupt file system, a tuning problem; hard to say without further information.

We have the exact same problem. The 9200 has been fine. After the update many problems!

- Recordings with no sound.
- Failed series link / scheduled recordings
- No nothing will record at all (black screen and failed recording icon)

We have tried a factory reset / retune / reboot etc but this makes no difference.

We are now left with no option but reformat.

I'm seeing the series link deletion for Coronation Street, but it was easier for me to blame ITV and the World Cup schedules.

Is this now a bug with the update then?

Yes that would be my advice. Please let us know if it fixes the problem.

Did you rember to reset to defaults immediately after the upgrade? That sounds like the type of problem you get if you don't do that.

Failing that, you have disk failure problems (conincidental with the update but unrelated) and need to reformat but I would strongly suspect the defauts issue. The way the EPG is stored has totally changed and you can't expect it to work without resetting the tables.

But the OP specifically says he has done a factory reset which I take to be a defaults settings.

Hi

Just to let you know that after the weekend the previously recorded programmes vanished before I had a chance to archive.

A reformat has resolved all issues but I cannot help thinking that the upgrade caused me to lose all my programmes.

My learning point is to not rely on the Humax for anything I want to keep. I was also surprised to find that I cannot connect my 9200 to my Windows 7 PC.

Regards and thanks for suggestions.
