It definitely strikes fear into the hearts of the HMs,..so maybe they expected Kitten to do all this, and what is happening now is all going to plan.

It's hard to say about the contracts, but if Endemol have decided to change clauses in the contracts re. evictions, the more and more it feels like they are trying to fix it for either, revenue-making, and/or, their chosen housemate to win it whoever that may be.

It could all be hot air, though, and no one leaves.

The contract _should_ protect an innocent HM in these circumstances. Although BB can change the rules they cannot change a contract without the agreement of the other party i.e. the HM. And a contract that allowed a competitor (it's a competition, innit?) to be ejected at the whim of BB would arguably be unfair and challengeable in the Courts.

Either way, if a HM was deprived of his/her chance of winning the £100K through no fault of their own, they could sue and I bet the Sun would be first in line to pay for the court case! BB need to handle this one with care!

My bet is on a fake eviction, which would be OK if the "innocent" HM concerned re-entered the house later (like Cameron did last year).

The winner would be randomized so we would never hear the end of it.

Its even vaguer because they can evict who ever whenever. They could even ask the voters to choose - whenever, They could evict who ever breaks the next rule. it actually means that by the time the show starts properly the HM will be frightened to break any rule.

On the other hand if both expelled HM return how do they keep up BB credibility? And on the other other hand why would you waste the drama of Kitten returning.

Its intriguing as long as they are not just determined to get rid of Kitten ASAP.

PJ (BB3) was effectively evicted at random. Nobody got sued.

It is in addition to the two fake evictions and is at BBs discretion so it doesnt have to be this week at all.
The fake evictions would still be able to continue and the first will likely be Kitten because the HMs will probably be dying to get her out now before there is a repetition of her behaviour and the consequences. That will probably result in her hearing a lot of home truths about how she is really viewed by the HMs which would be interesting. I wonder if she would reject responsiblity for her actions or cotton on to the fact that in the real world you have to take other people into account and not push on with your selfish agenda to the exclusion of the well being of everyone else.

Frankly, I don't think Kitten would get the message even if you strapped her to a chair, clamped her eyelids open and showed her films of her own behaviour over and over again, with a bit of the old Ludwig Van playing in the background, O my brothers.

If anyone else is evicted because of Kitten, it would be great TV to have them in the secret part of the house and having their revenge on the house.

Of course the rules are NOT in the contracts. The contracts will be primarily about the HM's olbigations to Endermol media wise. I doubt Endermol has promised much more than they won't endanger the HM's health.

Get real - this is a television show, an entertainment. The premise is that the HM's have to live subject to a set of arbitary rules not of their own devising. Thats it. All the rest is to keep our interest and take our money.

So no the rules are NOT worth the paper they are written on and never have been. If you want rigour and a legaly based selection system - go into or start following politics it has more of the attributes you talk about.

In the contract rule 1.10 says The company may at any time in its sole discretion exclude or remove you from the house and /or exclude you from entering the house or otherwise participating in the programme.Your participation in the programme shall also end if the programme is not completed for any reason.

I know the last bits arent relevent but it does say they can remove or exclude you at any time, so when they signed the contract they signed to say they understood they could be removed.

There is nothing to say that this is the case (if you have info from a reliable source saying differently then please share). BB can change the rules at any time. The housemates aren't even aware of the plan to move two of them this Friday, and BB could change that plan to make the "evicted" person due to Kitten's behaviour one of these. They may have another completely different plan, and that could change before Friday.

I was under the impression that writing on the walls or other forms of communication with the outside world were forbidden. Why hasn't Kitten got her 3rd and final warning? Perhaps BB hasn't got the bottle for it? perhaps Bb is saving booting her out for a low ratings week?

BB will change Friday's fake eviction plan. This is how I see it working....

Instead of asking the HM's to nominate, Dermot draws straws (omitting Kitten cos BB REALY don't want her in the secret room!!!), the loser is announced as the HM chosen by BB to be evicted as a result of "a housemate who has had 3 strikes". The evictee is then taken out, informed by BB what is going on and asked to nominate a friendly housemate to help them manipulate the HM's from the secret room.

Result being the remaining HM's all blame Kitten for the 'eviction' . Sparks would fly. We'll see how long her bloody principles last then.

I was always under the impression that Big Bro made things up as they went along......And I can't see a problem with a random eviction....They're there to further their careers...if they get hit by a random eviction (as long as it really was random....not Cameron going to SA random) then it's just tough luck....boo hoo.....

Fair enough and thanks for posting that. The reason for that sort of clause in a contract is as a catch-all, in case the HM did something unwanted that BB hadn't thought of, or that something else detrimental and unforeseeable by BB happened (medical or psychological problems for example).

The problem BB has is that to override the normal principles of Law (equity, fairness), the contract must specifically and unambiguously mention the event(s) they were thinking about. General "catch-all" clauses won't necessarily work. If a HM sued, The Court would decide and although it may well side with BB for psychological problems, it might not do for, say, random evictions.

If the contract said "any HM may be evicted randomly if he/she or *any other* HM breaks the rules", BB would be in a better position (although only stupid HMs would be likely to sign such a contract). BB need to take care how they handle this. Fake evictions would probably be OK!

Mesostim's point about them being there to further their careers is a good one and is probably what BB would argue in Court. In which case, BB should have included a clause to specifically cover that (they don't seem to have).

I'd feel a bit cheated if they really evicted someone because of Kitten's antics.

How about this scenario... It looks complicated, but bear with me.

BB calls for a housemate (any housemate) to go to the Diary Room.

Person A wanders in and is told to select someone for eviction. They are told they can't select themselves or Kitten. Person A chooses Person B.

Person B is called to the DR and told they've been chosen for eviction and would have to select someone to be evicted at the same time. Person B is told he cannot choose Kitten or Person A. Person B chooses Person C. Person B is forbidden to tell anyone about this discussion.

Between the time Persons A and B leave the DR and Person B is evicted with Person C -

1) Will Person A mention that he nominated Person B?
2) Will Person B figure out s/he had been selected by Person A?
3) Will Person B ignore BB's command not to discuss it? After all, they're being evicted and have nothing to lose.

After the (hopefully) fake eviction when B and C are in the secret room -

1) Will A admit to the group that he made the decision?
2) Will they figure out what the secret room is for?
3) Will B admit to C how they were chosen?
4) Will B figure out, if they haven't already, that they were nominated by A?
5) Will C hate B for choosing them or will they settle their differences and form a bond?

I have to admit, I had certain people in mind when I thought this up -

Whatever the outcome, I think getting a random housemate to make the nomination is a good idea. In my eyes it would redeem BB's claim for being "evil" this year.

It's their show and they can do what the hell they like. The contract will state specifically that any housemate can be evicted at any time for whatever reason.
