LOL - Blue Peter wasn't exactly the right choice of show for something not gay, knowing many of the current and past presenters and production people. Probably more gay people at BP than BB actually.

The point is - BB isn't supposed to be highlighting gay and lesbian issues, it's not in their remit. They are supposed to be a general entertainment reality TV show. Sure there are and have always been gay and lesbian people in it but not quite to this extent and not getting upto the things these people are. The gay imagery was obvious to anybody who's followed the storyline from the start. Yes it deserves coverage like any other relationship that develops and there's nothing wrong with featuring it but it's got to the point this year where they are actually overdoing it. If anybody is making a big deal of this "gay thing" it's Big Brother themselves.

Is this representative reality or an attempt to promote alternative sexual dispositions?

7 males = 2 definite gays
1 bisexual (alleged)
1 transsexual

5 females = 1 lesbian
2 bisexual (at least)

This breaks down to 71% of males and 60% of females not being in the sexual mainstream.

Almost 100% of straight males find the idea of watching any form of sexual activity between two males revolting, as do almost all females, whatever their sexual preference. Paradoxically, over 85% of all males have no problem with lesbian images, indeed, many find them a turn-on! Similarly, over 95 % of all females are not averse to lesbian imagery.

How wise it was to reduce the number of heterosexual housemates remains to be seen, as does the agenda being followed by channel 4.

Does anyone out there have information on the sexuality of the Big Brother production crew?

NB oercentages quoted are based on personal unscientific research.

Going right back to the first post..........
Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing a topless female contestant but I'll tell you what, girls love to see gay men together!
It's only homophobes who wouldn't have liked last night's show.
