DTI 6021-50 problem

Hi

My dad has got a Thomson DTI 6021-50 and there is a bit of a bug in it, but am not sure

He can record a program and when you watch it, it'll be fine but other times when he records something it will become "sticky" - what i mean is every 2 seconds it will jump, it's hard to explain, the program is still watchable but it appears there is a problem between sound and vision.

Is there a problem at a certain part of the Hard disk??

Thanks in advance,
Jim

Hi Jim.

Sometimes after FF the sound and picture go out of sync. That does not seem to be what you describe but, if it is, Pause for a moment or two puts it right

Otherwise it could be worth trying an adjustment to 'Factory Defaults', but any recordings in the library will be lost and the settings will be back to square one, as follows -

Menu> Setup> Help> Green> Red

On the Help screen the screen prompt for 'green' does not show unless you press the green button, which brings up these new extra options at the bottom of the screen -

Red button - Factory defaults
Yellow - Software revert
Blue - Format HDD

Afterwards a channel scan will be needed and another day before the 14day epg and Series link will become available.

Hope it helps

Regards
Chris

I believe this problem (if it's the one related to live TV buffer interfering with recordings) is fixed in current (and recent previous) software version. Version 4.08 is current -- check Help screen to make sure you have this.
