When I copy a DVD using Nero 9 Essentials, I get an message saying 'Burn process failed at 8x'. But when I play the DVD, it has copied it afterall. I don't get the error message using Nero 9 StartSmart in the same program. But I can't select maximum speed or number of copies using StartSmart, so I would rather use Essentials, but it's annoying getting the error message and having to check if it has copied everytime.

Have you tried different types of disks? Are these DVD+R or DVD-R etc.?

You might get more answers if you post this in the computing section of the forum.

It's a free one I got with an external DVD writer, so would I be able to get the latest updates for it?

I've only tried it with DVD-R discs so far.

I have posted it in the computing section aswell.

Also, I tried un-installing it to re-install it, but it wouldn't un-install. I doubt that would make any difference though.

Thanks.
