It was almost tempting. I was going to go with a 12 month contract, £35 per month and £299 for the 32GB iPhone 4. More minutes than what O2 are offering and with 1GB internet as well. It's a really good deal if your looking to upgrade to iPhone 5 when that comes out.

Another forum member on here pointed out and I agreed with him it was a fair point and that is that the technology in the top end phones doesn't tend to change too much in the space of a year these days. I remember thinking about the upgrading from the 3G to 3GS last year and for me it worked out that it wouldn't be worth it.

The upgraded camera and video recording at 30fps out the box wasn't appealing to me if I'm honest. I was on a jailbreak with the 3G though and if anything, I would have appreciated the speed increase if only to try out the emulators but again, it was no big deal.

Having upgraded from the 3G to iPhone 4 though, I can see a great deal of difference between each of those models and went with a 24 month contract which should hopefully be in sync with the iPhone release cycle.

Any ideas when Tesco will have more stock? I've signed up to their e-mail service bit not heard anything...

I phoned my local Tesco phone shop store. They said new stock coming this week and took my details - they will phone when it arrives.

In another forum someone has posted an email received from Tesco today saying the iPhone 4 will be back in stock from Monday in phone shop stores, but to get there early as stocks will be limited.

Someone else on that forum said they went to their local store and were told they were only getting 3 16GB and 1 32GB on Monday - so sounds extremely limited stock.

What network do tesco use? Is their 3G coverage any good?

Tesco and 3 are doing some good deals on the iPhone 4.

Especially 3 with the tariffs and the amount of inclusive minutes.

Tesco uses O2's network.

Tesco's contract deals appear to be the best around, with the lowest total cost of ownership, & their PAYG is good too.

I received the email this morning.

As you recently registered your interest in iPhone 4, we thought you'd like to be the first to know.

Please note, we've got limited stock, so you'll need to be quick! Visit one of our Tesco Phone Shops to buy yours. You can find your closest Tesco store with a dedicated Phone Shop by clicking here”

Now just have to find out what time the phone shop at my local 24 hour store opens and what time they expect stock. Hopefully more than 1 32GB!

I really hope my store has the iphone 4 by next Friday, when i get paid.

Doubt it though.

Still, the iphone 4 has many problems so might wait a little while.

apart from this antenna issue, what are the many problems?? a few people in my office have it and have not mentioned any problems? we even tried to recreate the signal issue and altho we lost a bar or two, we had to really squeeze the phone around the antenna for this to happen so i dont see this as much as a problem as being made out..
