Hi all. OH and I are contemplating a week away in a private villa somewhere hot (well, warm at least...) but I can't get away from work until the last week in Oct. Whereabouts in Europe will still have sunny / warm weather at that time? I reckon Greece is a possibility - just wondering if anyone has any other ideas?

Ta!

The Canary Islands. I went to Gran Canaria at the beginning of December one year and it was lovely and warm.

Thank you for the suggestions so far! My OH had thought about Cyprus - we were there a few years back and did really enjoy it. Morocco could be a goer, but OH was there walking only a few months back, so think he'd want to go somewhere different. Will have a look!

I fully recommend Paphos,Cyprus. The last 2 weeks of October are approaching the end of the season - so alot of places are closing down, so theres quite a happy atmosphere about - not to mention its a little quieter than it would be at peak. Temperatures are about 28 deg cel and a nice sea breeze makes it quite comfortable.

Cyprus or the Canaries. Anywhere else would be a big risk, especially Greece.

Canaries are usually a safe bet.
I worked over in Gran Canaria one winter and spent my birthday in December on the beach in 90degree heat.

I have been to tenerife in October a couple of times and the weather has been really nice.

Went to Fuertenventura at the end of October in 2004 with the ex. Was a fantastic holiday- temperatures in the 80s. The only horrible bit was landing back at Gatwick when it was cold, wet, windy and dark. Just wish I could go back to Fuerteventura but it would be too upsetting...
