Agreed. Funny how nobody has a problem with a strip of plastic (i.e. the TV casing) above, below and to the left/right of the picture. Their eyes can ignore that, but not a black bar on the actual screen. All psychological imo. They can't ignore the part of the screen that doesn't have picture, but seem to be happy to ignore the part of the original picture that doesn't have screen...
