METEOR might not be playing on ITV 1 in all regions, so best to check your listings magazines. And ya never know about the aspect ratio - ITV have pulled a few surprises out of the hat lately, so never say never!!

By the way, I don't have the Radio Times to hand, but whatever the AR, the film might be playing in a signed version.

And, naturally, that's a title I managed NOT to include in my previous listings. Thank god for that! For a minute there, I thought I might actually go a week without stuffing something up!!...

Finding Nemo is 1.85:1.

Hardly surprising when it's a premiere and in HD. Doesn't really matter does it, it has to be in 2.35:1 for us to want to talk/know about it in this thread.

Channel 5 are currently showing Lost in Space OAR but it looks like a bad NTSC conversion though as you can see the judder when the camera pans. Strange, they must've only had access to a 60hz source for OAR.

A COCK AND BULL STORY and CREATION also 'premiered' at 2.35:1 on the dear old Beeb yesterday. ACABS has been shown before in 16:9 (CREATION was screening for the first time), so this would have been a treat for fans.

Actually ACABS has been shown in 2.35:1 before--around August 2009 or earlier. Possibly again since then as well?

Hadn't seen ACABS before, but while it was good to see it in 2.35:1, it was a bit of a mess all round. I much preferred The Trip.

I noticed the rather bad picture for Lost In Space myself. Sky and Channel 5 have both shown a very bad NTSC transfer of Rush Hour as well with very blurry picture. You'd think someone would have noticed it when it was being doine and corrected it.

Cars was cropped to 16:9 at Christmas or whenever it was premiered. The trailer's in 16:9 again, too, so I doubt things will change.

It will be 2.35:1 on BBC ONE HD but will more than likely be cropped for BBC ONE SD. If you're gonna watch or record it, I know which one I'd choose...!

Wonder if The Last Boy Scout tonight on ITV 1 will be in 2.35:1?

They may have opted for the US tv version which would be edited .
This might enable them to show the film in various slots including daytime like some channels like to do with Beverley Hills Cop

They used to do that, but a year or two back, BBC1 HD (or BBC HD, as I don't think they had BBC1 HD at the time), showed the same 16:9-cropped print of Snake Eyes being broadcast on BBC1, yet still claiming to be in HD.

Wonder if The Last Boy Scout tonight on ITV 1 will be in 2.35:1?
16:9. It's one of my favourite action films, too. Joe Hallenbeck is 10 times more cool than John McClane. And it's one of Tony Scott's best before he started hiring that waste of space Denzil Washington for every other film he made, a man who can't act his way out of a paper bag.

Dunno about the HD channel, but CARS appeared on the standard-def version at 16:9. Boo, hiss, etc.

By contrast, CHEYENNE AUTUMN was screened on Channel 5 at a fair approximation of the original 70mm / 2.21:1 ratio.

Yep, 16:9 on BBC1HD too. I saw about 10 mins of it as my nephew was watching it while I was at my sister's house, and I was wondering whether they would've made a separate 16:9 version for some very brief scenes featuring text, as when the opening race was on there was various pieces of text onscreen that, had one been watching in the cinema it would no doubt have been placed at the edges of the screen otherwise it'd just look odd (a bit like watching a 16:9 programme with all the text in the 4:3 centre area)

By contrast, CHEYENNE AUTUMN was screened on Channel 5 at a fair approximation of the original 70mm / 2.21:1 ratio.
I missed that but it's on again next Saturday, a bit earlier, at 10.45am.
