I have a problem.........

I sold my htc desire that I got in April and the idea was to buy an iphone and put sim card in but...........

ive now lost the sim card.

What would happen If I rang provider and said phone and sim was lost?

Thing is if I say phone is lost would they know the phone I had and stop it working???

That would be unfair on the person who bought it.

If they couldnt do that what would happen? i didnt take insurance out so would I have to carry on paying £28 a month until April 2012?

I got phone from CPW and my provider is Orange.

Any help is appreciated.

Or just say youve lost your sim and request a new one?

would they accept that that though?
would it sound strange that I lost sim but not phone bearing in mind the sim is in the phone 100% of the time?

Also I want to buy Iphone and put the sim card i had wouldnt fit into it so Id need to ask for a iphone 4 compatable one - would they do that? probably not!

your contract is for your mins and text its up to you what you do with your phone ie sell it
just phone them and tell them you have lost your sim if its the first one you have lost it probably wont cost you anything!!

just ask them for a micro sim tell them youve sold your phone to buy iphone as i said the contract is for you network acsess not your phone

Go into Carphone Warehouse, the last time this happened to me they made up a sim card for me there and then, cost £10, no questions asked.

just rang Orange they said to go into an Orange store and they will give me micro card free of charge.
