Well after a couple days witrh her Galaxy the missus is beggining to regret her loyalty to the Samsung brand. Yes it has a nice, big screen and fast processor but it's list of standard apps is woeful and it appears to be impossible to do something as standard as import her contacts from her old Nokia. Even when paired in bluetooth and the export function in the Nokia is used the Galaxy refuses to co-operate. Not good.

The export function of nokias only exports to other nokias i think. Could be wrong on that though. What apps is she after? The vast majority that come pre installed on android phones are available on the market to download anyway.

I like the look of the wildfire.

Just two quick questions for those who have taken the plunge already;

1) is the screen res a real issue as the reviews say?
2) what is the battery life like?

cheers

Contacts need to be on the SIM card where I think they are standardised.

Put sim in new phone and then copy them to the phone memory before putting the correct SIM in.

I've been using it for just over 2 weeks now. To answer your questions.

1. I don't find the screen a problem at all. The only downside is that some apps wont show as available (Solitaire by Ken Magic being one) and characters on screen can appear fuzzy until you pinch to zoom. However I find the quick response of the touch screen makes it a very nice phone to navigate around.

2. Battery life. I fully charged it last night and after a days use is showing 70% battery. Admitedly I've not had wi-fi on, but its made a few calls and texts, a bit of internet and news updates through the day.

Hope this helps

thanks for this, it is really useful...

in terms of the pixlating/bluring. is this just on the internet or is it for general usage as well.

it's only really noticeable on internet and when viewing videos. tbh if I hadn't read the reviews I probably wouldnt notice.

For general usage I find the display no problem to use at all
