Model differences?
Arthur Fowler

Hello,

I'm about to take the plunge as an ex-digifusion owner.

Could someone enlighten me about the differences between the various models on the managers specials on the direct site?

PVR9150T-G

PVR9200T-G
PVR9200TBX-G (is it only disc size?).

PVR9300T-G.

Features, reliability, usability?
Many thanks

Usability is similar for all models; I think they are easy enough to use although the remotes could have been better designed. The 9200TBX-G has a bigger disk than the 9200. The 9150/9300 have a faster processor and SATA disks, the 9200 PATA (IDE) disks. The 9200 has a modulator (to allow distribution to other rooms via coax) and a USB port to allow programs to be downloaded to a PC (rather slowly) and music and jpegs to be uploaded. the 9150/9300 have neither of these features. The 9150 doesn't have a front panel display just some LEDs to indicate operational status. The 9300 has a front panel display and a bigger disk. Hardware reliability on all models is good. There are some issues with the latest software update (changes to the EPG schedule are not displayed) but Humax are aware and we are all hoping for a fix before long.

And another difference. the 9300 has an HDMI socket on the back which the 9150 doesn't have. Might be a factor if your telly is short of SCARTs.
