Foxsat HDR Picture Format

Firstly, apologies if I'm raising a point that's been mentioned before. By reading through the threads I know this is a regular problem but none of the discussions appear to directly refer to my issue.

I have recently moved from Sky HD to foxsat. I have Toshiba HD LCD (2 years old) and connect the TV to the Foxsat via HDMI.

I have set the screen ratio on the Foxsat to 16:9 widescreen.

The problem is the picture produced is bigger than the screen size i.e. when I'm looking at say BBC HD if the logo is top left I'll see 'C HD' or top right 'BBC H'.

Similarly if I look at the Foxsat info bar at the bottom I can't see far left and far right or on teletext I can't see the page numbers.

The picture itself is proportionately OK.

I have tried to resolve the issue by changing the format options e.g. Auto, 4:3 pillar box etc but none make any difference.

I have tried changing the v-format settings but this makes no difference either.

I have tried alltering the tv settings but none make any difference.

I am now totally stumped and wondered if anybody had any ideas.

Just to say when using the sky HD box I had no problems whatsoever - the picture fitted the screen perfectly.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

These settings work best with a Panasonic TV:
HDR:
Screen Ratio: 16:9 - Widescreen TV
Display Format: 4:3 Pillar Box

TV:
16:9

May be the same with Toshiba.

Many thanks Carvell. Panic over - the answer was at the TV end. The wife finding the tv manual helped and now all OK.
