Friday's double eviction scrapped???
On the C4 forum, there is a rumour that Teletext is saying that the double eviction/bedsit idea has been scrapped. I can't access the TV at the moment, can anyone here confirm this?

It says they've 'temporarily scrapped' the idea - presumably if they are evicting someone for real this week, they'll just use the bedsit idea later in the series.

I think it would be a better idea to have the fake eviction later in the series anyway when the competition is in full swing and the housemates have begun to hate eachother.

But later in the series we'll already be rid of the best characters thanks to the Great British Public

Yeah but what if they put a replacement in at any time? They'll know about the bedsit.

When Davina reads the name out, we really won't know who they've chosen!
Talk about tension in the House! |

Will they bitch about the evicted hm's though? bear in mind they know the evicted hm will be able to watch them on t.v and so will only say nice things about them.

But if the fake eviction is to be later - End-it-all are going to lose this weeks money and the weeks money of the fake eviction !
I thought the idea was to do it this week and then still have 9 "money weeks" as normal - As legally they can't get us to part with money and not really evict someone; or if they told us to vote for a fake eviction the money would drop to next to nothing as people wouldn't bother as it didn't matter that much. Maybe it's true, but can you see End-it-all going without a weeks money?

They all think that we have been voting all week and the Kitten thing is just an excuse but when Davina usually says "The public have been voting" she will have to say something like "big brother has decided" then they will know it's Kitten's fault and more tension :P

I get the feeling this years replacement is locked away in a hotel so they don`t know anything of the show. I think a replacement will come in at the weekend. Maybe the extra 20 mins tonight will be to allow us to vote.

I was wondering that myself Smeagol but I doubt they'll have lost any cash this week as it is, if anything made more. I'm sure their text lines must be jam packed with people commenting/protesting about this whole idea.
At least they've had valid reasons so far for people to contact BBLB without asking them if the housemates should have Pork or Lamb for dinner etc.

I think that if Big Brother evicts a contestant (other than Kitten) without giving the public or the housemates any say in the matter whatsoever, then they will damage the show in the long run as it makes a bit of a mockery out of the concept behind Big Brother if Endemol can randomly evict any housemate they like.

Of course they could keep the eviction for tomorrow night, take kitten out the back door tonight, carry out the eviction tomorrow put that HM in the secret room and then have a replacement HM join that HM in the secret room. return the non evictee and the new HM next week as planned and carry on from there....or is that too simple???

p132 on Teletext.
Well, we know there is no crowd, and as it's a non-standard eviction, I doubt Davina will link to the house. I still think that unless Kitten goes, the evictee will go to the bedsit, where a new housemate will join them, with Kitten leaving perhaps during Sundays BBLB. |
