they were probably upset for sarah,but relieved that todd has no ties to sarah anymore.

You don't need to cry to be upset. When my baby niece died it took me until I actually saw her the day after to cry. When such a tiny baby is fighting for life with every ounce of energy in their tiny bodies it sometimes comes as a relief that they no longer have to suffer.
