Google Apps market - how to pay?
I've jut tried to purchase an App on Google market and it appears you can only pay with credit card. Is that correct? I do not have a credit card and have no intention of getting one so I'm not mightily pleased if you can't use debit cards or even Paypal. Stupid.

I have never used my debit card to buy an app from marketplace, just my credit card, but im sure you can.
http://market.android.com/support/bi...&answer=105916 Have you tried just selecting credit card then putting in your debit card number instead? Also i have read on the net that paypal will be coming soon to the uk android marketplace for payments. |

You can use Visa Debit cards. I have one, and it works fine. For some reason, it wouldn't accept the card logging in to Google Checkout through my phone, but accepted the card fine on my PC at home.

So when you say you paid on your PC, how does that work? Do you download the App to your PC and then transfer it? |

Pay as you go mastercards are handy for people who cant get a credit card for whatever reason, they work like a regular mastercard online and in stores, yet you are limited to how much you have topped up by, i notice o2 offer their own brand pay as you go card too.

I've thought about buying apps before and wondered the same thing, the above method is how I'd have to do it because desipte having the necessary cards I'd NEVER use them. One question though, why can't those of us on PAYG simply use the credit on our phones to pay for apps? I build up a small amount due to topping up monthly and rarely use all of it for calls. I had hoped I could use that to buy apps but obviously not. Which is a great shame because if I could I'd be buying apps on a regular basis. |

Once you've registered your mobile with them, you have the option to pay via your phone bill or credit - they just send you a premium-rate SMS message to the value of the app purchased. It's really simple and far easier than messing with card numbers. |

You can do that will some apps though, as far as I can remember, CoPilot lets you download it from its website |
