Emma-Excellent!
The Dreaming
03-06-2004
I thought Emma was fantastic on tonight's show. She was the only one that had the guts to tell Kitten some home truths. Shame the rest of the housemates were too cowardly to back her up. Kitten's patronising attitude and refusal to accept any responsibility for her actions would have gone completely unchallenged if it wern't for Emma. Emma to win!

Emma and Marco rule!

I loved the chat between Dan and Marco tonight when Dan was drying himself after his shower, it was great!

The first time Marco has said something interesting and hasn't been annoying.

Stood his ground for a while, which showed a different side to his character.

Emma - well she did stand her ground with Kitten too, and nice to see more of an attitude from her, rather than the dippy character we have seen before.

I'm sure what she said was interesting... but unfortunately I can't understand a word she says.

After that response to Kitty, I have to give her credit for not continuing the act like so many of the others. She spoke her mind and told her to her face.

Respect.

The other day when Kitten was speaking to Shell in the kitchen and they had the subtitles on Kitten because she had taken her mike off... it was Shell I couldn't understand/hear.

Yes... that was superb! Ahmed was NOT answering Marcos points, just doing a Kitten... inventing what ppl were supposed to be saying when they never were. Marco came off very well imo. Ahmed talking b*ll*cks. A Man who just has to have an argument which is why I assume he had to leave Somalia... and having left and got asylum here and British nationality is pursuing his arguments with the UK government and anyone who will listen to his rants and moaning. Methinks he has had too much time on his hands.

Yeah, like I go to another country, get support, and then feel it my duty to keep bloomin moaning about the government and country which gave me a new home! OMG!

Well to be fair, I think any British citizen has a right to critisise the government if they want to.

well as I say, if I had to leave the UK, went to another country to seek asylum, was given support and a home by a country to which i had no other right to ask for support, was then given nationaility of that country after I'd applied for it, I'd be jolly damned grateful. I would then spend my time working hard, making a new home for myself, and keeping myself busy doing all the things that most ppl have to do to stay afloat these days, and not be busy complaining about the systems of the country which was good enough to take me in and look after me until I was settled. That is what I would do.

But I agree as a citizen of the UK he is just as entitled now to 'have-a-go' as the Govt as anyone else with citizenship of this country is. I simply find that he should want to a bit distasteful. But then I expect I am only in the majority on this. Yes, Ahmed, go on m8. After all, if things got that bad that you were being oppressed by this govt or in actual fear for your life for being so outspoken then you could always repeat the process in some other nice hospitable country willing to give you a roof and benefits soon as you dock. Whatever...

Emma was certainly angry with Kitten, but she was wrong. In Emma's world, anyone who challenges an opressive system is dangerous and should be reprimanded - further, if Emma imagines these challenges as a threat to her own interests she would prefer to admonish the challenger (Kitten) rather than a ridiculous and suffocating system (BB in this case) that is actually issuing threats!

Emma would make a good and obedient storm trooper

In this context there are two types of people : those, like Kitten, who rail at absurdity and those, like Emma, who believe that absurdity should be defended - sometimes to the death!

I thought, "Well done Emma", when comfronting Kitten at least. The problem with Kitten is, she takes absolutely no responsibility for her own actions. Ok, so she doesn't mind being kicked out herself, and yes, ok, BB cunningly set things up to try and get her to behave, by being responsible for the others fate. But as shown, she can't be responsible in any shape or form, and doesn't give much of a t*ss about anyone else.
