Just a quickie... Euro 2004 will be on during the HM's stay. We all remember BB3 and how they managed to see half a match lol - but it seems that not one HM would even care this year! Am I reading them wrong??

It would have been a very foolish wannabe-HM who hadn't checked (or guessed even) that BB5 would clash with the Euro thingy. Presumably no-one who's bothered applied.

Victor made a comment about it the other day that he would miss the coverage unless he was voted out early

I would think a few of them do like football.

Give them a task as they did in BB3, so they can win as many minutes of the match as they can.

But that would be no incentive for those who ain't bothered or who would actually prefer to avoid it.

I'd sabotage myself in that situation.

It would be selfish of some HMs to muck it up for those that do want to watch the games.

Would you say the same if it was to win viewing minutes of "Eastenders" or "Trisha" which some of the HMs may also be fans of ?

If some HMs like it, then shouldn't they all try to win it for them?

But fundamentally should they not be aware by now what they are depriving themselves of by being in the house?

Obv you feel football ranks higher in importance than BB but rules is rules. Kitten might agree with you tho

But it would just be a treat for the HMs. And it gives them something else to do.

BB has done it before - and they may decide to do it again.

Seems not many like watching football, so they could show videos of games at Villa Park for them as there is never any there

Have heard Jason talk about footy with Vanessa

A treat for SOME not ALL HMs. I'm quite sure some really did go to avoid the hype and hysteria that descends these tedious tournaments (some might watch with the sound off for footballers' legs maybe).

Did not watch BB3 if that's where the precedent was set but they did barmy stuff like the rich/poor split that year so I can believe it.

If, having done this as you suggest for maybe the first home team game what's to stop Wimbledon fans in there asking for the same and then Glastonbury fans wanting to see some live bands? The BBC already have a problem on their hands just finding slots for everything on June 26 so it would cause chaos and they's end up spending all their time watching telly. Do WE really want to watch them being couch potatoes?

I thought it was quite good last time watching their reactions to the game.

They could easily ask all the HMs what event they would like to see, and the most popular event is seen.

BB ultimately choose what they are allowed to see, and not the other way around.

Would it be a finite "list" of events or completely open choice though?

That would be BB's decision.

I would have thought they would make it a finite list, as they could all have completely different choices.

Any genuine England football fan would not consider going for BB in even numbered years, for World Cups and Euro Champs. Unless England didn't qualify of course.

I did hear an interview with Bubble before the World Cup saying he would never have gone in the house during a World Cup etc.

An England Euro 2004 game
A Tim Henman Wimbeldon game
Glastonbury or Party in the Park

Not sure what else there could be.

I think there are a few "last episodes" of series coming up (they missed Friends I assume), then there's "T in the Park", the Open Golf, The Derby, test matches, grand prixs, Sport Relief, The Proms ...

Just off the top of my head. And some HMs might well not like any of the above.

I think the ones I said would be the most popular choices.

Apart from T in the Park, another music event, and a test match, possibly the British Grand Prix, I'm not sure BB would offer those choices you mentioned, unless they all told BB they wanted a particular choice.

In BB3, not everyone liked the footy, but they all watched it.

That is, except for Sandy, who promtly ran out and climbed over the roof!

I'd be with Sandy.

I get the idea you personally would only want the choices you offered (plus T in the Park) and that's my point.

As a scotsman I was just wondering when someone was going to mention 1966, the whole world doesn't support England you know.
