Skype on the Nexus one on 3.
Hi all, was just wondering if anybody has been able to take advantage of the free skype on the nexus one (unlocked)
on the 3 network? I notice that on the 3 website http://www.three.co.uk/Pay_As_You_Go...Messenger_work that the similar HTC Desire works with skype as long as the phone is purchased from 3. So it is not like there isn't a client for Android. Can anyone shed some light please? |

Thanks, however, 3 state that you need to use their client in order to take advantage of their free Skype (ie, anywhere, no wifi needed).
So there is a client that is available on the Desire but only if you buy the phone through them? Totally confused, I don't think it is preloaded on the Desire so why can you not just download it to a non-3 phone? I'm assuming that if it works on the Desire it will work on the Nexus but I will cross that bridge when I come to it! |

I have a Desire from 3 and it doesn't appear to be branded or molested by them, and their software works fine. |

Thanks very much to you both.
I think the confusion comes from the fact that 3 state on their website that you are only able to use software that comes directly from them (rather than the android market). I have ordered a contract from them and I will test it out as soon as it arrives. Fingers crossed! |

I have received my sim only today from three and this issue continues. When I go to the download link that is sent from three to my phone it tells me that my phone is not supported
