Iphone app advice
Hi,
Not sure if this is the right forum or not but I was wondering if anyone could help me find a to-do list that will do the following: - to-do list on iPhone 4 - Also on Windows - Needs to be able to be edited by me and my husband - Can sync easily between our 2 phones (happy to use the same account as we do for google calendar) - Would be nice if I could enter tasks on the web - Ability to set priorities and due dates - Ability to categorise tasks If anyone could point me in the right direction before I go off an spend a fortune on a variety of todo apps I would be grateful

As you're already using Google Calendar - have you tried the Google App ? (It's free of course

Google Calendar is excellent - for a calendar. For a to-do list, it's just a kludge and also is missing the last two 'needs' on the OP's wishlist.
For a free solution I don't think you can go far wrong with Toodledo. It's web-based but syncs neatly using a native iOS app, and allows priorities, due-dates (and times), and categories as you requested. Further it allows you to set up email reminders, get a copy of your to-do list emailed to you regularly, and I understand that the native app will also alert you via the phone when a job is due (certainly the Android version does). It also supports email import of tasks, which sounds novelty but is actually dead useful. Basically uses a special syntax and a special address, so I could email mine with, say, print off registers *work #next Tuesday :1 hour and it will add a task to my to-do list with a title of 'print off registers', assigned to the "work" category, with a due-date of next Tuesday and a reminder set for an hour before. Clever huh? This comes into its own whenever I get emails at work I need to action by a certain date, because I can just forward them to this address and hey, presto - automatically added to my to-do list. So you've probably guessed I am quite a fan of this service, but it does do exactly what you want, and is free. |

Thanks for the suggestions I've tried google but as pi r squared said it doesn't do some of the stuff I was after.
pi r squared - Re toodledo I've tried this but it seems overly complex. Do you use another app for the phone that syncs with toodledo? |

I use Got to Do but that's because I have an Android phone not an iPhone. Never used the iOS app but have read reviews saying that it is excellent... in what way did it seem overly complex? In terms of adding a task, or viewing tasks, or something else?
I'm sure there are simpler options but whether they will also allow priorities and categories, I don't know. Certainly the Toodledo option is best for me
