Hi, I have the original TUTV 6300 Thomson box, to cut a long story short I haven't used it for a couple of years, I just recently plugged it back in and the fan is still running constantly, which is very annoying in a bedroom at night!

I'm sure many moons ago I read that there was to be an update to make the fan only run when recording?

I've decided the blummin noise is the constant whirl of the hard drive even in standby that's the problem.... any reason why the hard drive can't have a sleep... EVER??

mine doesnt sleep either

Its constantly making the same noise..Its annoying when im watching telly or any films, cos all i hear is the fan
