to belt up & shut up?????.

I am a mild natured person but there is no way would I have put up with her stupid antics considering the damage she is doing to the other housemates.

She is getting someone evicted, some one who is being deprived of their BB experience and possible £££££££. Why has no one told her to stop being so selfish???

I understand the HM want to come across as nice but now they come across as wimpy. Why won't somebody tell her!

They were all selected because they have opinions that would get them into arguments.....We don't want 10 weeks of Gos on the sofa again.....If people don't want to be sucked in maybe being evicted is a blessing for us all....they can put someone in who will put up and not shut up...

this is evil big brother. it is themed around punishment. it began by getting the housemates to collude in depriving someone of their luggage. it is now endorsing collective punishment.

what is so selfish about kicking back against big brother?

She signed the contract presumably of her own free will, so what is she complaining about, exactly?

Big Bro signed her up of their own free will..what are they complaining about?

she is persistently highlighting an important point (especially in the face of "punishment" as entertainment) that nobody has to automatically do what they are told to do.

Except she signed a contract that stated that's exactly what they do have to do. She objecting to a proceudre that she chose to accept.

not really. she made a meaningless signature on a piece of paper and then demonstrated that nobody needs abide by that either..

why should big bro be the only ones to change the rules at any time?

Emma did exactly this yesterday in a messy but heartfelt rant at the house Kitty. Judging from the cat's expression I think she very nearly got her message across.

Because they agreed to let BB do that. Signing a contract isn't a meaningless signature - it's an acceptance of the contract itself; a sign that you agree to abide by the terms. If you don't want to accept it, don't sign it. If you are happy enough to sign your life away, you can hardly sit there and whinge about it afterwards.

What about;
- making them go to toilet infront of a glass window
- waking them up to a peunamatric drill, fire bell, etc
- awfully designed, cramped house?

I agree - the HM's are spineless - I would have shouted at Marco for shrieking like a stuck pig and just taken the P**s out of Kitten - for a) having the most inapproprite nickname for such a "radical" feminist lespbian and b) for behaving like a petulant schoolgirl who can't get her own way !

contracts, just like orders, only mean something if you choose to let them mean something.

in an arena where one side claims the right to be able to change the rules at any time, they must expect players who will similarly decide wether to abide with rules or not.

So next time you buy something and don't get what you want, you'll be happy to accept that as a reason for the seller to tell you where to go?

If one agrees to something, I have no sympathy if it turns out there's something you didn't pay enough attention to which you don't like.

well i'd certainly start watching "who wants a millionaire" if it had anything like that potential for surprise.

If I start a 'Kitten appriciation thread' how many people here, who have pressed the ds 'I agree' button when they signed up, will refrain from postings negative things about her in it. DS terms and conditions state that all posts must be on topic. an appriciation thread ios for just that, positive appriciative comments

I'll start one now and lets see how it goes shall we .

I don't think Marco would agree with you there.
Contracts are generally legally binding, therefore they mean something if the Judge chooses to let them mean something, and he ain't got that much leeway in his choice!

and judges mean nothing also unless you choose to let them.

The contract has to have agreed duties for each party. You couldn't write a contract saying "and you will do anything you are told" as it would obviously be untrue. Worse than that if BB starts doing things that are not in the contract or contradicting things that are I would think you would soon be in a situation where BB had effectively created a new contract which wouldn't be binding as no one had signed it. If it says you can be expelled for A, B and C you might have a problem expelling someone else because you did A. Where is a lawyer when you need one.
