Among other nominations, they got Reality Show Competition, Tom got Host and they got 2 of the Choreo noms - Derek for the Futuristic Paso/Anything Goes Quickstep and he and Chelsie for their pro Paso (Yay! I loved that dance So. Much.). DWTS also received a nomination for and technical direction and camera work.

I am happy for Tom and I hope he wins the Emmy this year because I think he is on his game when he does live tv.

Well this will make the ballroom world cringe. Derek was also nominated for his QS with Nicole. Obviously the nominating commitee does not know what a QS is. I love Tom's comment "I hope you absorbed all that applause because here comes the whooping." A load of vaudeville says Len. I assuming this got the nomination for the entertainment and performance aspect.

Personally I loved it, but it wasn't really a QS. Bet it wins though!

I am reading a few interviews that Derek is by Cheryl's side and he is worried and concerned for her. What a painful bittersweet experience for him to be nominated for 3 Emmys and recognized for his brilliant choreo but knowing that his dear friend is so ill. That has to be upper most on his mind right now. I pray that she is getting better and regains her health.

Mia Micheals the lyrical jazz choreographer for SYTCD dance won the Emmy for best dance and Jeff Probst won for best Reality series host. Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution won for best reality show.

Dancing with the stars did win for best technical direction and hair and makeup. At least the incredible camera men and makeup ladies get their due.
