I know it's still relatively early days for The Saturdays compared to Girls Aloud, but they have just not built on the success of their first album the way they should of.
Chasing Lights gave them a breakthrough, got them noticed, and gave them a few hit singles, which was ideal. Wordshaker yielded a few minor hits but nothing approaching the huge hit song they needed at that time, hence why the album flopped. They are now on their 3rd album, and judging by the underwhelming Missing You, there are still no signs of them ever making a huge hit the size of any of Girls Aloud's biggest songs. If they don't hurry up and do so, I can't see them lasting much longer.”
Firstly I never stated what I said as fact it was merely my opinion you said none of The Saturdays singles would be seen as classics in a way that to me sounded as though you could see 10 years into the future to know such a thing.
As for Wordshaker flopping that is irrelevant they just released it with a mediocre first single, Ego went on to sell almost 300k, how many GA singles have done that? not many.
Missing You could well be a massive hit, no one knows YET. Oh and they aren't releasing a third album YET merely a mini album to satisfy fans before the proper 3rd album
