Glad to see it's done so well. Fingers crossed it'll keep this up and we'll have a BB13 on the cards for next year. Don't see it going anywhere if it continues to perform this strongly.

Also, don't want to, as I can't handle a completely BB-less summer. Already had to suffer the loss of BBAU and BBUK

Also, can't believe 22m watched the premiere of BB1!

BB1 got 22M? Wowza

I'm pleased this year had such a strong start, Hopefully this continues and we'll have US BB around for years to come.

My 2 fave US reality shows, Wipeout and BB did well,

I think even if the BB12 ratings end up falling, we'll have at least another All Stars season.

That's excellent. We all know im not the biggest fan of theirs, but I really think Jeff and Jordan mania from last year has given BB a new lease of life.

EPISODE 2 RATING:
6.97m (2.3)

Best of the night, only show to get above a 2.0, only show to get above 6m, never mind getting a whiff of 7m.

The reason why BB1 got monster ratings is because it was advertised like CRAZY during survivor and they would call it the perfect companion show to survivor, which was the number 1 show of that year(with 51 MILLION viewers watching the final).

It's looking very good for another season next summer if they can keep it up.

Wowsers! Didn't realise BB1 had such a good premiere! Anyone know what it ended with at the final? I know the first series rated fairly poorly overall.

Surpassed BB7 now

With this core audience that keeps it consistently in the Top 2-3 each night it airs, I don't see BB ever being canceled. It's the ultimate summertime show.

Yes, you're right there. They don't broadcast many new shows during Summer in America, so Big Brother fits in perfectly. It seems to be more popular than ever, even though this series is one of the dullest in quite some time, the CBS edits have made it seem really exciting, and with the ratings boost coming off the back of BB11, it has done wonders for the show.

They have a two-hour finale again this year, airing right after the Survivor: Nicaragua premiere. I expect BB13 to be commissioned immediately after BB12 ends, much like last year. Hopefully BB13 will be All Stars 2.
