So Tessa Jowell is working with Endemol on the mechanics of proposed death camps I presume ?

Let me refresh your memory. It was not I, but Neuso-something who introduced Nazism into the thread. I merely responded to it. What would you have me do? Ignore it? If so, WHY?
You are, of course, correct. My posting was an intellectual dead end. Your's however, advanced the topic in leaps and bounds. I am grateful for the opportunity of learning from the very best.

I claim Godwin's Law. You lose.
Quote:
“Godwin's Law prov. [Usenet] "As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one." There is a tradition in many groups that, once this occurs, that thread is over, and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever argument was in progress. Godwin's Law thus practically guarantees the existence of an upper bound on thread length in those groups. However there is also a widely- recognized codicil that any intentional triggering of Godwin's Law in order to invoke its thread-ending effects will be unsuccessful.”

Forgive me, but that's unwise. References to Nazism have now been deemed inappropriate by one of our fellow posters. Who are WE to argue?

Didn't her pop say she was still at public school at the age of 17, when Kitten had apparently stated she'd been on the game in another part of the country at 16?

Nothing wrong in a bit of embroidery about one's past. No doubt we've all done that at some stage in life. Trouble is, come up with misleading facts about your background when you are on a mainstream telly show and you are asking to be challenged.

If what her dad says is correct and what she has said isn't, then I feel sorry for him and her mother. How would that prozzie stuff make them feel as parents? Parents who no doubt made financial sacrifices to send her to a fee-paying school.

To be honest, I can't think of too many people who'd want to read about Kitten's life history, other than Kitten, who to me, came over as selfish, crude and self-obsessed.

It is also a story that has not been verified by Kitten or any independent witness, based on an alleged incident told by a bitter ex lover, which may well have been greatly exaggerated in order to get a higher fee etc .... and that's before the press added their spin.

As I said ... a couple having an arguement ...

Assessed in historical context it is extremely unlikely that a group of hedonists would have been allowed to cavort thus in the 30s and 40s. Wrong for the Zeitgeist.

I've never read The Sun, but I think Kitten was right to stick her fingers up at them. They're clearly a bunch of liars:

The Sun wrote:

Quote:
“She later boasted they were aimed at The Sun and its army of ten million readers.”

What they forgot to mention was that later on, Kitten boasted she was sticking her fingers up at homeless children and people with cancer.

Not at all - if that poster wants to put forward their racist jibes they can do so on another forum which doesn't share DSBB rules about racist etc postings.

In the runup to local and European elections where the BNP stand a chance of actually being elected and funded I'm perfectly happy to censor their ravings. I'm not into defending their "right" to incite racial and religious hatred and the consequent racist attacks that often follow their election campaigns.
As one whose friends and my own past workplace have been threatened and physically attacked ( in one case firebombing and completely destroying the premises) by these morons I don't have any qualms about my action in alerting a DSBB moderator to a breach of their rules.

I defend no-ones right to spout poison that leads to the injury and sometimes death of fellow human beings.

I don't want to belabour the point, but it is censorial and anti-democratic. That's, certainly, the view of the government, which has confirmed the BNP's right to have its election literature delivered by mail. It is also a little patronizing, as it suggests that other contributors have to be protected from the BNP's idiot level demagoguery. Surely, like your good self, they see BNP sophistry for what it is and would quite simply ignore it?
It's inappropriate use of the forum that should be penalized, but I wonder if sharing their political doctrines is embraced by that category?

I think this is getting completely out of hand. What real business is it of ours that she has unpaid fines anyway? I know for sure there are plenty of people who have the same thing, do we condemn them all as if they are the devil spawn?

Who is to say that she doesn't even have a valid dispute with the people that are taking her to court?

As for when she was set to go to court, then there is nothing to prove when the summons was delivered. She could have had this summons only 2 or 3 weeks ago, while she was away. Actually, who leaked this information? Is this not against the Data Protection Act, which I believe is more of a criminal offence!

I am sure that we all have lied at some point or another to so why are people quick to condemn someone for lying (If she is lying) I always thought that people in our society are meant to be innocent until proven guilty. Her father might not even know what was going on with her at 16. She actually said in her interview with Davina that at 16 she had some problems or issues.

Surely an exception to the rule. There were others, of course, like Hermann Goering; and the Nazi elite enjoyed Berlin's notorious nightlife to the full. The elite, not Franz Huber or Joe Public. Hardly representative of 30s values and morals. Even America survived without sex until it was discovered at Woodtsock in the 60s.

I believe the consensus is that the Sun is not worthy of being called a newspaper.

Non payment is different from appealing against the fines.

In that case, surely someone would have informed Endemol, and they in turn would have told her.

Notices of upcoming court cases are freely available at the local courts.

It was reported on a London radio station yesterday, that Kitten was due to appear in court on Wednesday for non payment of speeding fines.

I loved how they twisted Kitten's V sign to The Sun into a V sign to The Sun AND it's 10 Million readers.

Typical

And I don't believe for a second Kitten was even considering selling her "story" to The Sun.

He was referring to Will....to do magic by ones True Will ...rather than anarchy...which is more to do away with centralised government.....Which leads me to think whenever people complain about government red tape they are actually edging themselves further toward anarchy (even if only slightly)....
