Anyone else had this problem?

I've had Eggheads on BBC HD set up on series record for as long as I can remember but for some reason, although it's not being screened at the moment as some antiques show has replaced it, it shows up in the schedule as Eggheads but when it starts to record it fails with the usual failed to record message. I am confused as it keeps showing up in the record schedule!

It's not being shown on HD as the BBC2 showing has gone into a repeat run. I wonder if it makes a difference if you set up a series link by selecting the BBC2 program then the HD option rather than ch 108 directly? Just a thought.

Thanks for the input davethorn. I can't remember how I set the series link before so I'll check your suggestion to see if the HD version is available!

No it's not being shown on HD at the moment. The current run on BBC2 is repeats. They always seem to do this with Eggheads, they only simulcast on BBCHD when it is not a repeat run. So if you do want to see the current (repeat) run you will have to record the SD version.
