It looks like Hulu will no launch a UK version of Hulu Plus, no mention of the free service now though. How would you like to watch this service? I think that Hulu should replace the gap being left in Project Canvas by Five, they would have great input for Project Canvas, what do you think?

The FT which published the news does not seem to have much details!
Hulu is part owned by News international so I expect rather than be part of Canvas (which News international opposes) it might link in with Sky Player, maybe also as a on demand serice on ip connected Sky boxes?

I fail to see how Hulu - an unknown brand for anyone in the UK outside of media & entertainment cognoscenti - will cut through in an already overcrowded marketplace.

If I were betting, I'd be backing this lot:
SeeSaw in 'surprise' talks on international licensing deals

"overcrowded marketplace", there's only seesaw, sky player & virgin player. i'd harly call that an "overcrowded marketplace".

Plus the new Apple TV is coming - announcement today. Google have plans as does Amazon. There's obviously going to be one big scrap to control TV on demand and then one or two players will come out the winners. Canvas will be a success as long as the BBC remains as it is.
