I loved the test's as well, especially the last one's with the full laps.

As weird as it may sound the best moment for me playing GT4 was getting Gold round the Nurburgring in the Mercedes 190E after many hours of trying
Was similar on GT3 with the Ford GT40 Seattle test, I got gold & then lost my save Then had to try & do it again

Yup. I actually stopped following th eprogress over a year ago. We've had some great racing games like GRID and I had to restart NFS: Shift after my ylod so I'm more than happy just playing that.

they've dragged their feet for too long with GT5 imo.

No, wouldnt think they'll make another GT for PS3. They'll probably wait til PS4.

Not to say they wont release DLC though
The amount of time they've taken making this one we'll be on PS6 before a GT6 is out.
I honestly don't think they have any right to release DLC for a good long time after the game's released. Let's face it, they've had long enough to put everything in it. No doubt it will launch with the obligatory (pricey) DLC following within a day or two.

There's no point in comparing GT5's development time with the likes of Forza or any arcade racers out there.

None of those games come close to what Gran Turismo offers.

But GT isn't as 'realistic' as it pretends to be.

It's as realistic as you can get on a console. There isn't another game that can match the physics that PD have come up with.

Hell, just look at one of the premium models if you want to see where all of the development time has gone - the detail and lighting are insane.

It won't

Absolutely unreal.

I'd love to go back to 1972 and show that to somebody playing Pong.

The night time rain looks amazing!! So does the dusty tracks. Not that impressed with the snow (runs for cover!) but no doubt it'll look phenomenal when your playing it & take it all in

Can see me shouting at the screen in frustration when the Weather Effects result in my crashing into someone or something because I can't see shit. Nice one.

Or budget. Comparing GT5 to Forza 3 is kind of disingenuous as Polyphony Digital not only have far larger budget to play with but also no sense of deadline to having to work to. The development cycle is nowhere near the same.

The game does look sick and worth the wait.

Very nice weather effects, easily looks on par with PGR4. Can't wait for this game.

As a massive car fan and gt fan I've now finished gt psp and I'm excited about gt5. Don't know if I'll buy it launch Though. Hopefully it's cheap in a supermarket.

Either way: if this game isn't sensational EVERY magazine and reviewer will brutally destroy it in their reviews for taking the piss in development, and rightly so.

Anyone else notice the 2D trees and spectators just like GT back in the day? Not good.

Yeh this game is still gonna smash the opposition just like it always has.

I am sick of waiting too but the wait is nearly over and that shiny Signature Edition is on its way to me in November.

People who gave up on GT are NOT fans of the series and shouldn't call themselves so. Like those people who follow a football team and as soon as they lose a match start hurling abuse at them...WTF!?

The next game has kind of been announced already,GT6 was talked about by Polyphony more than once over the last couple of Games shows including the recent TGS and it looks like 2014 I think so PS3 it will be.

Haters step back!

I so can't wait for this game, really hope it does come out this year as it's the main reason I own a PS3. GT1 on the PS1 was my most played game ever in terms of hours put into it, even more than I did with FF7

Those youtube videos are amazing, just sitting here with my jaw wide open. The in-car view when it was raining almost looked too real, I actually thought for a second it was indeed a real video and not from the game.

Does anyone know if you can set the weather in all the tracks or is it just specific ones?
